Lvl3Reborn Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 I am going to try and get my Fire Cape soon and I would like opinions from other people who've got theirs or have tried and just can't come to complete it. Current Stats: 85 Combat Attack - 60Strength - 81Defense - 50Ranged - 89Prayer - 52Magic - 82Constitution - 82 I need advice on what to take with me and what to equip. I have a budget of around 1.5m to spend on this, for bolts and whatever else. I don't think I should have to spend this much but if need be I will. Thanks in Advance! Larinro Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Heres a few thigns that will hopefully help you out, If you are able to complete either the seers hard or elite diary, do so enhanced excalibur is amazing and will help a ton and will save u brews (With the elite excal i only need 2 brews to get to jad)! For a weapon either go with a crystal bow if your recharge price is already at 180k, but if not just use the rune cross bow with broad bolts and diamonds for jad. The gear is diffuclt for me to say on due to the fact that i havent been 50 defence for a very, very long time. But something like this would make sence to me... Head: Pray boost slot (mitres, neits <-- i think thats 55 def but im not to sure, ect) Neck: Fury > Glory (dont use ranger seeing as your onyl 52 prayer, so youl need the pray bonus Body: Black d hide Legs: im not sure if you have prossy at your disposale but that would be a good alternative to the 70 defence verac skirt. Larinro Posted February 27, 2011 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Cape: Either A god cloak should you use the crystal bow or avas acc if runecbow Sheild: Divine (dw about it ) > None/God book Ring: Archer (i) > archer > lumbridge diary ring for + 1 prayer Wep: already explains Unforuntunelty i cant be of much help on the inventory seeing as theres quite alot of variables in there with extremes, quests and weather your using sweets or not ( i would recommend against it though ) Hopefully my post helped you out on your journey to the fire cape *almost forgot that you should try and get jad as your slayer task and use the full slayer helm instead of the mitre/neit it speeds things up alot! If not, I'll just finish up the hard ones. ^_^ Also, what're requirements for Broad Bolts? I'm only 50 Slayer, I think it requires 55 slayer? Crystal Bow recharge = 900k /: Neitzinot requires 55 Def, and I have not done Fremmy Isles yet, have requirements but haven't. But alright, I'll try and get my pray bonus up as high as possible. I also have none of the rings you advised me to use. :o Well, I'm not sure about Inventory as I've never done it. You will need a combo of brews and restores, 7:20?. Theoretically you can get infinite healing with EE but it'd take a long time. Should I borrow a Robin or something with Pray bonus? And thanks for advice on Inven, Quy! I'll try that, now I just need to figure out what Bolts exactly, how many and all armor 100%. Karil's crossbow is quite a bit better than a rune crossbow for dps, and you don't have to feel bad about not picking up ammo because you can't ;). All miniquests but one is rune or dragon gloves, I think, which is rather good. Which leads to: Mitre, black hide top and proselyte skirt, fury, god cape, karil's crossbow, ranger's boots, archer's ring (explorer's ring), rune gloves or regen brace. This setup has +19 prayer bonus. I would heavily consider borrowing an SGS if you can't get EEE. Larinro Posted February 28, 2011 Share Posted February 28, 2011 I agree that Mitre > Robin with your prayer level but I think you should stick to the rune c bow with addy bolts since you can't use broad ( there the same stats), because then you also can bring in an offhand and either gain some defence bonus or some prayer should you bring a god book in which case you could choose to take a range pot inplace of one of the restores. And as in God Cope my regular Saradomin Cape will work, or do you mean the Cloak's from TT's? Mitres come from Treasure Trails, so it would be easier to buy one from the GE rather than go hunting for one. I think he's talking about the god cloaks from TT's for the prayer bonus, seeing as how you're 52 prayer, so you'll want a decent prayer bonus. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving.
