dunging for pures

So I'm thinking of working my way to a chaotic on my pure, but I'm not entirely sure what the best way to go about it is.

I have 1 defence which obviously I don't want to level so I can't really team up with normal players. I do have 43 prayer so it's not that hard to solo. But would it maybe be better to find another pure and do medium duos? Or if I do solo what would be the fastest experience?

And once I get to 200k tokens should I go with Maul or Rapier? Is Rapier still better than maul with only a zammy book as your shield?

You should go with as many normal players as possible so that the effect of your lack of defence is minimized.

For binds you need a melee weapon and a surgebox. For the second bind, try to find a hood, if you can't find one bind a staff or bow+arrows.

Which chaotic you should get depends entirely on what you want to do with it.

If you are mainly going to be fighting other pures, you should get the rapier though.

try to team with more balanced players. pures that are good at dg are hard to find.

better to team with a non pure so you don't get screwed over on prayer doors

yes^ ive tried soloing meds, i always end up hitting prayer doors.

hood wont do any good.

if youre getting chaotic melee gear, bind highest 2h you can, and bind the highest tier staff useable, with surgebox + casts

Hood requires 45 defence afaik, so go with empowered fire staff + best 2h unless your strength is a lot higher than your attack (2+ tiers difference), then use a maul.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I have XP share on and my teammates train defence then won't I gain experience in defence? I know you can turn XP share off, but don't most people kick you if you do that?
