Magic Training Question

Featured Replies

Let's say I'm casting Fire Strike on a Hobgoblin. If the Hobgoblin is at 20hp, but I have the potential to hit 80, how much exp do I gain and how is it calculated?

Thanks. =)

You only get xp for what damage you do.

The exception of the SGS special. You will heal what you would of hit, even if it will kill the monster

If you are using fire strike or any spell you gain magic xp for casting the spell,if you hit 0 you will still get magic xp.

So wkw437 you are wrong when you said quote "you only get xp for what damage you do"

I'm right... you only get XP for what damage you do. You get the base damage, plus xp for damage you do. If you get 10xp base, and hit 0, you will only get 10. If you hit a 20, you'll get base xp + xp for 20 damage, nothing more nothing less

He's talking about the bonus exp that you get for doing damage

OP: it makes sense - if your opponent is at 50 lp and you would've done 100 damage melee, the exp that you get would still be calculated from the 50 damage that you did.

If it worked the other way - training range would be super easy, just kill something low leveled with extremely bad range defense and spawns a lot
