His stats are roughly 97 defence, 90 range and 99 mage, so we're fairly similar in that department. Also if it's possible and easy for us, then what sort of set up should I have? I do have ovls, but no chaotics. I'd use elite void deflector w/ acp, both using a unicorn, overloads, eee for spec and a rune crossbow with diamond bolts. You won't last terribly long, sure, but you'll get faster kills.
