"This post has been edited by..."

Not sure if this would belong here, but I'm going to err on the side of caution and post it anyway.

Previously, when editing a post you or another user made, you had ability to choose if you wanted to display the "This post has been edited by..." message or not -- i.e.:

However, it now looks like you can't choose to display or hide this part - even if you leave the "Reason for edit" text box blank, it just displays the message anyway. If I recall correctly, there used to be a checkbox marked "Show Reason for edit" next or under the text box. It looks like this has been removed:

I'm just curious... was this an intentional forum update? Or a glitch? I know it's a trivial matter, but like I said... I'm just curious. If it was intentional, what was the reasoning behind removing the ability to toggle the "Edited By" message? (If I can pry.)

At least it blends nicely on that skin. It's horrid on Deflection. But this was intentional, as far as I know.

This signature is intentionally left blank.

Yes, this change was intentional, but since its implementation we've found a better way of accomplishing the same thing without forcing the edit boxes for everybody, which is a bit of an eyesore as you mention. The checkbox will be returning to toggle that bar from appearing very soon.

Appreciate it. I'm a bit OCD with the whole thing, so it almost made me not edit posts at all.
