ghjkl
How do you calculate it?would it simply be: nsummation n(n-1)/2 - i(i-1)/2i=1 All divided by n^2? to get the average overkill loss per kill where n=the max hit of the weaponCan someone check my math? basically what i did was take for each lp that a monster would have left under the max hit calculate the average damage that would be lost due to the damage cap, but is it ok to assume that every amount of hp under the max hit of a weapon would have generally equal chances of occuring? xpx
Uhm... basically only grimy of all the rs players has researched this further, and i don't think even he got very far with it(atleast he wasn't able to get it into dps calc) and as you have personal contact with him, i see no reason for this topic. Also, basically, the overkill damage depends on your max hit and the monsters lp, but not anything else. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Grimy_Bunyip
the relevant markov chain theorems, useful for calculating exact expected overkill loss. http://www.dartmouth.edu/~chance/teaching_aids/books_articles/probability_book/Chapter11.pdf I could finish the research if u want, but, I kinda stopped cuz nobody really cared lol
