i_A_T_E_i
Hellooo there. I've been working on this account for a while now and I was making it an Obsidian Mauler, but lately i've been getting a little bored/discouraged with that certain build. So my question to you is, should I stick it out and keep getting my strength up, or should I turn it into a different build? The accounts stats are as follows: Combat: 46 (43 when Pking)Attack: 1Strength: 62Defence: 1Range: 61Prayer: 1Magic: 50Hitpoints: 54Slayer: 55Summoning: 22 (Doesn't affect combat in Pking) So you can see I spent a while getting the slayer staff on the account to train strength, but in doing so I got my range up pretty high, therefore becoming range based. I'm extremely discouraged in that I can get around 30 strength levels without gaining a Combat Level, excluding HP lvls. What should I do? Leave comments/suggestions below please! Quyneax
Well assuming you want a fairly low-levelled pure, I'd get those strength levels and try mauling. If you don't like that, get attack to 60, ranged to ~80, magic to 82 and do desert treasure (getting ancient magics). If you don't like that either get 30 defence and turmoil. If you don't like that yet again, try 45 defence, 70 defence etc moving up, or do the same with attack (chaotic pures). Durant
It depends on the amount of money available to you. I personally recommend a Void Pure. My friend is one and he loves it. Secondly, I recommend a tribrid. Dragon Claws Spec, Barrage, and MSBow/Rxbow/ccbow

HexiledRazz
Are we supposed to bump these? xD No real need to if it's still on the front page. And even then if it falls behind to the second page, it's up to you, the OP to decide if you want a bump to possibly get more answers  OT: I would at least try to get your strength up. Rock crabs are very AFKable, and it isn't too hard to find an empty world with the ones on Water birth. There's a spot where 3 of them spawn and the spawn rate is perfect with how fast you kill them. Try training here and watch a movie or do something else while keeping an eye on it. And better yet, you can use your range level to your advantage. Start PKing with rune knives for DPS, and switch to your obby maul for the K0. Though between rune knives and a slayer staff at 1 attack, I'm not completely sure which one is better DPS. But it would be worth a shot before you move out of the 1-attack pure zone. If you still don't want to be a 1 attack/1 def pure, then try just becoming a 50 attack granite mauler since you already have the slayer level for a leaf blade sword(Personally i think this is one of the best 1 def pure builds). And if that doesn't work for you, try getting some cash for claws and do Monkey Madness for a Dragon scimitar. One of the most common 1 def pure builds is this. A lot of people would argue that 10 or 13(from the EXP for rune RFD gloves) def pures are better though. And i would agree, so if you want to level your defense to try a whole new pure build, slowly move though the levels to see which ones you like. But be sure to quest for the majority of your attack exp, and if you decide to level it, your defense exp. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005. All_Is_Great
That's some hard work (55 slayer at 1 attack mostly) to give up so early IMO. Keep training that str, 70ish and start dishing out 300s oh level 45s  Key thing is not to give up. Because if you went 50 attack now, you'll have spend time on 55 slayer for nothing, and be just like everyone else. Once train up once you have gotten enough of pking with 1 attack. That actually sounds like a good idea, I think i'll do that. You're right, I wouldn't want 55 slayer to be a wastee.

h3art
Your current problem is that you're hugely range based, which will drastically effect your pking. I'd suggest you stop training range for now and do Death Plateau for 16 attack, manually training to 20, then get 70 Strength - which should get you melee based. I found a panda and then we bought malt liquor. I hold my malt liquor better than a panda. And I thought my weekends were good. ._.
i_A_T_E_i
I actually considered that, but I don't want my 55 slayer to go to waste =\ Maybe eventually thoughh! ^^Bumppp!
