Grace, War, and Shenanigans

Mikael: You fall asleep. And the war's already over - has been for a while.

Ororidan: You disband the Chaos Armor, and switch back to a Chaos Claymore. You create it, and realize that you feel very woozy with all this chip-changing malarkey. Also, Hakon objects vehemently to being thrown - you find a Hakon-sized rock to throw instead. It lands in the lava.

Hakon - "The 5X doesn't work unless it has chips in slots 1, 4, and 5. That said, I suggest you turn the keypad on before you shoot it." You have no idea where that mysterious voice in your head came from, although you are now getting the strange urge to go kill an elephant. You shake it off.

And if Jen knocks him out, she steps on his throat until he suffocates. Wooooooo

(And if I can't do this while he's sleeping even though he'd be helpless anyways, I'll sleep nearby and then do that as soon as he wakes up, because sleeping =! running away)

Retroactive edit complete.

Jen: You feel it would be unnecessary to kill someone over such a petty misunderstanding, especially while he's asleep. So you go to sleep nearby, and plot to kill him over the petty misunderstanding tomorrow.

Hakon: You turn the keypad on and punch it. It then reads: "Proper Dwarven Response Accepted. Deploying Boatmurder." and a bunch of ceramic elephants fall into the lava and mostly melt. However, there's enough ceramic elephant remains still above lava that you think you could get across the river.

Ororidan takes a rest, then switches back to armour. He high-fives the dwarf skeleton and then runs across the surface of the lava swinging a backpack and screaming "FOR HEADSHOOTS!"

And the hot chocolate rush is wearing off, so I'm going to call it a session.

People's Inventories sans what they have equipped:

[hide=INVENTORY!]Jen:

Familiar (S3)

Wings (S5)

Air Key

Blood Key

Earth:

Snowflake Shuriken (S5)

Frost (S1)

Frost Key

Mikael:

Mutation (S3)

Kakoara:

Blood (S1)

Ororidan:

Earth Key

Armor (S5)

Defensive (S4)

Chips are denoted by having slot # denoted as (S#) next to them.

Unlisted characters have no inventory besides what they have equipped.

[/hide]

I have everyone's equipment setup as what they started with, except Jen who still has Flight equipped in Slot 3. (I'm keeping track of equipment in OpenOffice Calc, so posting that is mildly difficult.)

Affinity changes: None this session.

Did well, but like I said before, we should try the IRC.

I might not be able to make the session at the beginning due to tennis, so as soon as Resistance wakes up, he's still trapped, so I just kill him then. (Problem with sleeping is that one can get away from combat with it and then run away when the other person isn't there, so I am setting an action in reaction)

The main point is that his character will be dead but he can still play, meaning that he can't hold a grudge against me (since he's a new character).

He will receive back his loot (mutation chip) when he makes a new character.

You can switch it out for stuff you currently have equipped in Slot 1 or Slot 2.

One more question. Once we reach the outside world, may we learn hand to hand combat and firearms (if we can find them) as an alternate means to conserve our energy?

I guess. You can conserve energy by just summoning your weapon once and then not changing it until absolutely necessary, though...

Well, I like options, and have the chip as a "last resort", or if I want to just kick butt. Having a blade always extended would get in the way for other actions too.

Idk, I've just always liked having a "reserved" style. Cliché time, Once the blade comes out, [cabbage] just got serious.

Well, I got snowflake shurikens, Ice shot, and my time tested sniper rifle. PRobably going to switch that up a little later on, a slowing poison rifle, or poison snowflake shurikens.. That pierce armor?

I'm curious to the passive, offensive and defensive attributes. Does it modify the entirety of the 5X chips, or only the special effects?

For example, my specialty is good eyesight.

If it modifies only the speciality, then offensive would make it easier for me to make hipshots or long range snipershots.

Defensive would make it easier for me to see enemies coming after me and how they could, possibly, kill me.

Passive does both, but a a reduced bonus.

Do I have that right, or is it a whole modification thing, such as with my sniper loadout,

Offensive would make it easier to hit longer ranged targets, do more damage, and have affinity and bonus ramped up.

Defensive would cause the afinity to be detrimental to enemies but with reduced damage, armor piercing bonus would generally screw up systems, I would be less acurate at longer range but my ability to target enemies would increase.

And with Passive, my damage and special effects would get bouffed, but at a much reduced state?..

IF thats so, then the ninja loadout would make it rather difficult to mod for. So i'm guessing it's only modifying specialties. Correct?
