sparky697
I am interested in going from level 75 to level 99. I know that high alch is pretty popular, but I don't have much cash to spare. I was wondering what is the most economical item to high alch these days? And how much would I lose/gain doing it? Thanks!
pulli23
rune wiki has a good high alchemy calculator. Best items (though they're like impossible to buy en masse) give like 200 gp/alch.. Though I'd aim for the items giving 0 profit/making a small loss (they are typically bought within seconds). With high alchemy the xp should hence be around 1 gp/xp.. A better (faster) method would be to superheat.. You'll get some collateral smithing xp too! First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. I was wondering what is the most economical item to high alch these days? And how much would I lose/gain doing it? Thanks! High alching is super cheap now a days due to the crashing nature rune prices, so I'd stock up when they're 130-135. Anyhow, if you want some free fletching exp - buy yew longs (u) + bowstrings, make the longbows and then high alch them. This makes a loss of about 75 gp per 65 exp - holding out on the market and buying below GE prices would probably net you about 1gp per exp which is pretty cheap in my opinion. However, other things you can do:High alch gold bracelet (the difference in ge price & high alch price is always about 100 or so - so you'll take a hit of about 35 gp per 65 exp. That was just something you can buy in bulk and high alch. However, here are some websites that you can see what you will gain/lose per alch. Most of the time though, the items that are "good" to alch don't sell well in the GE.http://www.scape-xp.com/runescape-high-alchemy.htmlhttp://www.alchprices.com/
LitterBug
I forget to add, I think it's something wrong with the coding but sometimes they have the high alch price wrong. For example in the first link, ppots (4) do not alch for 4k - so beware of some of these random mistakes. However, for the most part - they're easy to spot. Th e Doctor
Triple post ftw? Lrn2editbutton High alch is not a good way to level, superheating gold with gaunts, plank make, string jewelery, and bursting/barraging lobsters are good. High alching blows. If you're set on using a bad way of leveling though use the links above. sparky697
superheating gold with gaunts....what does that do? I mean what's the difference between using gaunts and not using them? EDIT: And unless i'm missing something, current GE prices say that gold ore is 257 gp each and bars are 135 each, so I would be losing quite a bit of money...? oliboli1992
i believe without gauntlets you only get 25xp per smleth but with the guantlets you get something like 56xp per smelt... which is more than smelting a rune bar.... [spoiler=Sig] I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.
Hegelstad
Current GE prices say that gold ore is 257 gp each and bars are 135 each, so I would be losing quite a bit of money...? Not really. 250-140 = ~ 110 gp / ~ 55 exp = 2 gp/exp If you do superheat them as you would like to, the price will raise to somewhere between 3-4 gp/exp. But it is still cheap.
