Making money with combat

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just returned to runescape after a few years away, would like a little bit of information on how to make money using combat skills..

I've already taken up barrows and made a bit of cash with it

Im not sure about dragons, what about blues in ogre cave?

How good are avianses these days?

Anything im missing that could make me some good money?

I have not started dungeoneering, honestly can't be bothered with it,

All tips welcome :-)

Dungeoneering offers the best weapons in game by far as well as heaps of other useful rewards. Not bothering with dg means you may as well not bother to do combat as the chaotic weapons significantly increase dps and thus lower costs and increase profits.

Avainsies are quite sucky. Slayer is good money maker, most boss monsters are decent.

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Correction, most boss monsters are decent with max melees, eventually ranged/mage and access to turmoil and overloads.

Barrows is still good and instanced, Aviansies aren't that good anymore, killing Frost Dragons with 85 dung is good money.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

@OP

Barrows is the best moneymaker for your levels. Dragons are really packed with bots which makes most of them difficult to kill. Aviansies are also quite botted. If you want to up your income significantly then I suggest you start herb farming, there is a great AoW guide to it, I'll edit my post with a link to it. Between herbs and MTK, I make millions each week with almost no effort at all.

For dungoneering it can be difficult to start off, I know. I suggest you solo c6 smalls until you are level 50-60, then go to the cc dg sweepers. It is a sort of unofficial Tip.It dungoneering clan and the people there are really brilliant. Dungoneering gives lots of great rewards. If you are barrowing a lot I'm sure you would appreciate an arcane stream necklace for example.

Oh yea, forgot to point out, if you train dung while you farm herbs and do mtk, by the time you have level 85 or so, you will have 15-20m banked.

Slayer is good money maker

Not at OP's level, in fact, if OP powerslays they will probably lose money.

most boss monsters are decent

OP can't kill most boss monsters because they are either too difficult or too competitive.

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

If you want to make money with combat your best options would be frosts for constistancy or gwd/nex/tds/corp for fast amounts of cash if your lucky.

Sorry "nasty".. I kinda don't know what you mean, I know what gwd is, and corp, but nex? And tds? Please explain? Oh and do I have high enough levels to kills the monsters you mentioned?

Your levels aren't high enough for any of those bosses.
