Chi's ship sounds rediculously priced (this being said by a chick that has no clue to earn kt but IRL racks up $ easily). Why on earth would anyone want 500 stasis pods? When it comes to living and lifesupport, those are minimum, the things that cost are the shields(400kt+4400kt), the science bay (3,000kt), the holodeck(3,000kt) and the hull(5,000kt). Yeah, definately.I would imagine that Chi could refine the design while it was on paper, while Earth would make the small changes during the build that saves alot of time and resources that would otherwise be wasted. Since most of the development over the last 150 years has gone on Quantum and Flicker Drives.Quantum(Jacketed Photons and other such) Drives are your standard inertia drives, while Flicker Drives are billions of tiny transports, so no inertia.I assume Gravitons would be non-inertia drives, that create a depression in space which moves the ship through space without actually giving it speed. If that is so then presently it would be medium speed and cost in the region of 800 kT, on the plus side the emitters are on the hull, so they take up no bays. Whens the next session? Friday.I wrote some stuff up over my holiday (between humming The Bringer of Jolity, God Save the Queen, Ceaser 3 Soundtrack, Tetris and Popcorn a million times...interspeced with swimming and getting off the coach to visit places(honestly the trips were usualy longer than the time at the attraction)) so I will be typing that up, as well as doing some proper preparing for encounters, rather than my current overview. For instance, Science Labs are nominally useless because people are often away from the labs and, as such, I am loath to give out bonuses so that someone who has been running around with a gun for a whole session can appear and double up their research.However if someone, say Mather, was to say quite clearly 'Look, Archi, I don't want to be on missions I just want to be in the lab, researching stuff' then I am more than happy to provide minor bonuses that increase over time.
