  1. 1. Which Campaign?

Recommended Posts

It seems entirely possible to do both.

We pick up the engineer and drop him off and then leave to find the voyager.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

We would need to defend them as we drop them down, and it would probably be a good idea to escort them around the base, but why would we take them back? If there's a problem it may occur again so they would have to stay a while.

Also, we could split the unity team up, we drop a team of like 3 off to protect the engineer team, the rest fly off to voyager.

This means more people will have jobs to do and more merits will be getting into the ship.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I was tackled for no reason, and I would want revenge buuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttttttttttttt due to bunches of previous lessons I've learned, Nex on perpously makes his character to where he's not easy to beat up/maim/kill. Faust kicked Lee's ass plenty o' times, Peri nearly killed Xinea with his shocking abilities, ect. So Salem getting revenge for being tackled by Miren, Not A Smart Idea.

I'm going to tackle Salem's iliterate problem next session, this one is my first iliterate character, and that wasn't origionally planned. All I can say is thank god Xinea can read.

The tackling was in-character, Miren thought you were a stowaway (as did I).

Blowing your door to smithereens, however, was entirely metagame and intentional.

And totaly useless.. Remind me to remove your door and use it to repair Salems. Fair trade, I reckon.

Nex, a couple of pages back I had came up with a solution, which was she was being tested and she doesn't know that she is. (Think Maximum Ride series bud)

Oh, yes. And It Is Always Nex's Fault For Destroying My Door! Explain that Nex! Honestly I don't believe you invited me here just so you can blast my character's door open everytime a new game was started!

The running gag, Nex blows up lynxes door again. Not so fun for the repairman.

With the collapse of the Temporal Anomaly, and with it any hope of discovering what caused it, the Unity is called back to the International Justice Courts in the Hague.

While there, you are approached by a shadowy operative, identifying himself as part of the Order of the Cheddar Knights. While he doesn't reveal much, he gives you a callsign, so you can recognise future messages from the organisation.

The trial at the Hague is relatively short lived. Angelo, of Italy, accuses Drake, of the Swiss, of destroying the valuable artifacts merely to spite him. The Hague rules against Drake, but Drake merely points at his badge saying 'Diplomatic Immunity', and walks out.

With the court case at an effective impasse, and 'the UN'(read mod of the Hegemony game, in game) tired of the arguments, the case is thrown out.

On returning to the Unity you find three messages flagged for your investigation. The first is a dossier on the Cheddar Knights, from your mother country, the second is a request by NASA to find the lost Space Probe, Voyager Three, the third is a request by MassiveSoft to transport one of their engineering details to their luna base.

After much debate, it was finally decided that MassiveSoft's mission must take priority. NASA was less than pleased by this, and have revoked access from their shield technology (read no shield upgrades for 2 sessions). MassiveSoft have, however, given you 2 Merits each for accepting their mission.

And so, before you take off, the MassiveSoft team board the Unity, introductions are made, and over the course of the discussion TAUROS negotiates himself a discount, worth -1 merit, on his next computer upgrade.

A course is set for Luna, and is engaged....

Mission Summery:

Objectives(s):

Bring the MassiveSoft base online. (1 merit)

Discover the cause of the shutdown. (1 merit)

The base is still intact at the end of the mission. (1 merit)

Steal the MassiveSoft research. (2 merits)

Being the only person who has not left the Unity. (4 Merits)

Make the moral decision. (secret, 5 merits)

Destroy any/all hostile presence. (5 merits)

Failure Critera:

MassiveSoft base is destroyed. (-1 merit)

MassiveSoft base is otherwise inoperable. (-2 merits)

Dying during the mission. (Multiple, -1 merit)

Not boarding/staying onboard the base. (-3 merits)

Leaving without uncovering the truth. (-5 merits)

Taking the hidden upgrade. (-10 merits)

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Yeah, it would count. Just want to get people used to the idea of leaving the Unity for extended periods.

Hacking is EITHER:

Roll-wait

OR

Matrix

Just when only one person goes a-hacking, it is easier to do roll-wait.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

So that one is entirely the team takes one for you?

And what does Matrix mean? Special kind of puzzle?

We should decide who gets to stay on the ship before the session, I say that should either be me because I'll still be capable of doing my fair share of the work remotely or Lynx because she needs to take some time to learn reading and she seems to be the one who could most use some free merits.

Would me taking control of any of the base's functions count as me leaving the ship? If so, I withdraw myself from the election of who gets the free merits.

Well...its like this:

Hacking, sometimes, needs to be done in a hurry.

If a whole adventure is required to open a set of doors, then the story will have moved on, rendering the hack unimportant.

So I would adopt the 1 hour = 1 minute in cyberspace.

No.

So it's a mission within a mission... I'm guessing this is kind of like inception, the better the firewall the deeper you have to go, although it'll get hard already once 1hr = 1sec.

Though I guess the Matrix is the better option for me, since I'm not going for a measly terminal or door.

Btw Mather, that 'do not leave the base' objective, states the ONLY person to have not left the unity, I think it's void if multiple people have stayed on, thus the reason why Archi wants more people to leave the ship

Also Archi, as Mather is probably the best suited to do quite a few of these objectives, if he completes them will we all get points or only him?
