I feel like it would be a good idea if we could get hold of some tracker implants, preferably some that used the same kind of signal that TAUROS and Android uses, so that I could locate you. Then if anyone was captured or got lost, I could find you, or alternatively a screen or projector could be connected to TAUROS so it would work like a locator, with map if available. Wouldn't be too hard to create, since all I need is distance (determined by ping) and direction (using four antennae (in a tetrahedron formation)) and voilá, a crude GPS.

Another idea would be to give each of you a small USB chip that could be used to connect me to a remote computer where I could take control and show the one who is lost where he/she/it is and possibly download a map and deactivate secutity in hostile ships and stations. Could also be plugged into robots so I can accompany you. I would need some FlOPs upgrades before that, though.

What would a person use an AI for?

 

Trust me, it may be a dumb question but I have a reason for asking before I make my decisions.

Anything that could use intelligence. Mostly computers and devices that have to take account for variables unknown at the time of creation, such as rank, importance and morals in order to get the whole picture and take the most correct course of action.

Mather, you're useless as an AI. As a hacker, eh, mediocre at best.

As an AI I am weak because I'm not supposed to start of better than any human, however an increase of FlOps will improve that. However as a computer I am better than anything else because I can deliver information none other would know to deliver unless asked to. A map with your positions being an example.

Another thing about my AI is that it is still in Alpha testing, me being the prototype, America improving my software would be no surprise. Also remember that anyone of you who decided to do so could also improve it, me being able to do so myself within the same timeframe may however be less likely since upgrading oneself is harder than upgrading something else.

You may actually be onto something, I may have a way to create an omnitrix, but first we have to wait until someone at Earth researches 4D storage and possibly mind control if that doesn't exist. After that, all we would have to do is to produce some mutants, install mind control chips in them and the master chip in you, store them in 4D space and create a watch that controls the 4D storage and allows you to switch out yourself with one of them.

Archi, could there perhaps be ways to gain merit that aren't set per mission/week? For example 1 merit per 10 enemies you kill or completing missions in the simulator with the reward depending on the dificulty.

There are various side missions, but there are no quick and dirty ways to get merits.

Two reasons for this:

First, you don't need 20 merits a session.

Second, I don't need 9 people going 'I shoot at the enemies' for four hours so they can collect merits. (I say all humans are merits, er, enemies!)

Third, completing missions in the simulator are totally useless as far as your government is concerned...so why they would provide you with upgrades is beyond me.

Forth, bone to gun machines were never invented, nor would they be tolerated if they were...so killing 10 enemies provides no benefit for your Government.

Fifth, your governments expect the mission to be done...Not forty little side missions (Its great that you replaced the water barrel on the cooler...but did you...you know, stop the ship from crashing?)

Sixthly, your government expect the mission to get done without extra payment...You get fired if you ask your boss for extra pay for each time you got to the photocopier.

 

I think thats enough to be getting on with.

Mather, dont question the Archimage........though I'd say getting a merit for not doing something inredibly (imagin saying this next word in a Captain Jack Sparrow voice) stupid. Also, that merit could only be earned if the person didn't get any of the origional merit set (that way, it might actually be possible that I get a merit and just spend forever earning the right amount of merits to get an upgrade). Oh, and to make it more of a pain in the rear to earn, if a person does a stupid thing after doing a non-stupid thing then they lose the merit. Hang on, that barely makes sense to me....I'll put it in example form. Ex: I head to the gym and work on the martial arts thing (which actually wasn't a stupid thing for me to do, cause it helped abit with my combat skills). Then I go and trip TAUROS over (which would be a stupid thing for me to do) and get in trouble again. (I lose the merit and can't re-earn it for the rest of the session).

I think he means getting merits for only doing side quests, main quests and researching is because it limits merits we get and also it can make it so we have to fight over it, and competition always makes a game fun.

 

Furthermore it is so people are not doing things that do not relate to the mission or help.

Eh, I'm discarding my merit idea, that would never happen and I rank a 10 for 10 on the doing something stupid scale.
