Plus, the actual likelyhood of me breaking into said matrix is absolutely improbable (in mythbusters terms, the myth of a girl like me being smart enough to even do anything in a matrix is a busted one). I could use that time to try and learn to read, though....

Bio: Aritimis is a smart female. Unfortunatly, she was framed in a robbery/murder, then was sent to jail. However, upon further examination of the case, she was actually found Not Guilty and was recently released from prision. Aiming to restart her life, she decides to work as a mathematical forensics expert for INTERPOL, and soon became famous for solving many oddball cases with her mathematical expertise. Soon she was ordered by the French Goverment to work as a representitive for France on the Unity. She perfers to stay out of the way of other people, but will help out when told to do so. She's best at cracking mathematical codes using multiplications and square roots.

And one thing, you may not like to trust me, but it is essential that you do. Yesterday one and a half screwup and an action of spite cost us the little amount of control we still had over the ship. I'm not saying I did what I did perfectly, like the hack I could have done with a roll and a wait, possibly giving us a few moments of complete control. But one of those screwups caused not only us to lose the little chance we had of reactivating the SI, but it also caused at least one crewmember to be injured.

Next time don't screw around in hopes of the unlikely, useful help and listen to those that are more educated than you in a field. Those whom this is aimed at should realize who they are without me mentioning any names.

That being said I would like to applaud the three people who were actually active yet did not ruin anything as far as I am concerned; Miren, Aritimis and Armand.

 

Also could someone try to upgrade TAUROS' insanity? For some reason I found its mind insufficiently messed up to drive the OI into... well, anything...

Campaign selection:

(Gonna launch a, hopefully, 6 session plus, campaign mission, based at a specific location. For this purpose you will be leaving the Unity.*)

 

Zero Jump:

The home of the Unity's Extra-Solar Engines, as well as numerous faster than light research projects, which are now more or less defunct, with only a trickle of funds going to them and perhaps three scientists on each project, compared to the Golden Age of Exploration, where there were literally tens of thousands.

Zero Jump is also home to almost all of the Human Psionics research projects, the notable exception being the Swiss, who conduct all their research on Earth.

Pro: Zero Jump is the home to various high tech groups, allowing you to skip 1 upgrade in the upgrade tree. EG: You can get the Hypokit without the medi-scanner.

Con: Zero Jump is remote(beyond Neptune), so all upgrades cost 5 merits more.

 

-Primary Mission: Zero Jump has called for the best of the best to try a new psionic tactical simulator, to find out if non-psions can beat the simulator.

 

The Martian Question:

The Terran and Russian bases on Mars have always been a source of major friction between the two powers, and the situation is continuing to escalate, edging close to open war.

Pro: Military hardware is plentiful in this area, resulting in a number of military upgrades being avalible that would not otherwise be accessible.

Con: The area is not exactly stable, and failing missions could result in losing your starting location, and even open warfare.

 

-Primary Mission: The current problem revolves around a trade dispute. Two Chedder Knights have been sent in to calm the situation, but now they are missing.

 

Europa Dreams:

With the ever present threat of genocide from the Swiss, Japanese, Americans, Soviets...well, everyone really...missions to colonise the rest of the Solar System have been running thick and fast ever since 2072, when people were finally allowed into Space. While most efforts were aimed within the rocky planets-Mars, Luna and Venus to name the three-some few missions were aimed out into the the Gas Giants and beyond. While only Zero Jump, a non-colony mission, established in the original space rush of the 2040s, ever recieved any major attention, the Europa mission has made some significant advances, and is now prepared to crack the surface.

 

Primary Mission: The mission has only a small garrison, if anything goes wrong...as it innevitably will...it will be the Unity's crew's job to solve them.

 

 

*The Unity, without the SI, is non-functional, and suffered a lot of damage when being controlled by the MS AI, so needs to be repaired over the course of a few months.

Errrrrr........ Me and Earth left the ship. The only person who really didn't listen was Nex, and that was probably because he was busy with something else.

 

 

And if you are on about how the AI damaged the SI, that was quite obviously meant to fail.

Nex listened, he actually did what I asked him, although he took his time and it was too late to do anything.

 

Also I was opposed to the idea of installing the AI, and when I was prepared for him Earth disabled everything except my hacking ability. So I, the only one who could stand up to the AI from the inside, was disabled from helping until moments before that AI was hacked by the OI, who hacked me instantly without effort once I contacted him to work out a deal after the AI pleaded for my help but was unwilling to offer anything in return.

Also the OI is immune to logical, philosophical and biological paradoxes.

I ahd to manhandle your server because you wouldn't have done any good. Ever. Simply put, I tried to do it for your own good, AND YOU KNOW WHY. Because when the OI took over it contorlled your Android to shoot crewmates. I don't aprove of that!

Yeah, but guess what, the AI was a weakling, had it not had time to set up the dozens of firewalls then I would have decimated it.

And eyt it would have done no good in the long run if the OI beat the [cabbage] out of all those firewalls.

Yeah no. SI was totally trashed by the Massive Soft OI..

No, he was inactive when the OI hacked. It's obvious that he would have devastated the OI: Sentient>Organic>Artificial. Animals are organic but few are sentient.
