Anyone have these when they were in elementary? I did, I won 2 years in a row, lol.

I was looking on nationalgeographic.com and played their "geo bee game". (Features 5 questions from actual the national geography bee) And it was fun to get back at the old hobby  .

So, if anyone here has participated in them, what questions did you have?

In 6th grade I won by the question "what is the largest desert in Asia?" lmao.

We only had spelling bees where I was... I only won one year, because I was too shy to go out for it other years

But at scholars bowl on spelling questions I'm always buzzing in a split second after :P

I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.

We had one in junior high, and I qualified for it. I got pretty far, but got knocked out with a question about Icebergs (I don't remember the question). Some Romanian exchange student got first place and went on to the state competition.

We never had it at my school, but we did have math olympics, and I was in that :P .

There's a kid in my class who's memorized the capitals of every country in the world plus a whole bunch of other stuff like rivers and lakes and such. Needless to say he won our geography bee. Of course he also won our spelling bee and our school's math contest. Me? I got close to last place in a spelling bee in 6th grade I think.

This is the way the world ends. Look at this [bleep]ing shit we're in man. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. And with a whimper, I'm splitting, Jack.

I was always really good at spelling. I never went out for the spelling bees though because I was also too shy...

I got second place in my school 2 years, but even so, I hadn't really done very good... I guess everyone else was just bad... :?
