Making the new items untradeable !!!

People who are rich are only rich because they worked hard on getting their money. What difference does it make if you pay for the items in cash or pizazz points? Shouldn't the wealthy be allowed to get a benefit from their hard-earned wealth?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Besides, think of this: What if you get pked while using the new items? Are you saying that the person who pked you shouldn't get them? In that case, if you were using full infinity, master wand, and mages book, you'd be pretty much immune to any pker who takes a second glance at you. That's not fair.

If this had been suggested closer to the release, I'd agree. I wear my infinity top whenever I'm not training combat (aka slayer in my case) and people often say "wow nice top! how much did it cost you?" To which I have to explain I earned it myself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Way too late for this though. Everyone who's already traded for them has them for the money they spent, not the effort put into. To make them untradeable now would give these people unworthy respect for effort (rather than respect for earning lots of money). People now who trained for them for the plan of selling it on would also be pretty pissed off with their wasted time (even though they'd had gained sigificant magic xp)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Similar reasons to why the holiday drops haven't and won't be made untradeable at this late stage, you'd displease a lot of your customers, which exactly what Jagex as a business do not want to do.

I don't care if they are tradeable or not, but I have to agree - it's a great effort to get them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I earned myself the top and the hat, it took me six days to get them both and playing several hours, runecrafting all the runes I needed. At the moment I'm working for the bottom, gloves and boots to get the full set, and probably this will take me 4 or 5 days more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I love the look of these robes, and this game is not all about stats, or at least that is my point of view. I'm VERY proud of my achievement. I'm not exactly an high level (and if you are wondering, no, my forum name isn't the same as my RS name).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

These players who spend millions on it are losing huge magic experience and money. In all this time, I think I got 10 magic levels, from 66 to 76, and it will be higher in a few days, probably I'll end with level 78 or 79.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you runecraft your own runes, it's not that expensive... You don't have to spend millions, maybe around 600-700k to get all the runes. The only thing you need is the required Runecrafting level and... time. And yes, this also gave me huge RC level, I'm level 61 RC at the moment. When you get level 59, you are able to make double cosmics, and that saves a lot of money on essences. But for some reason, most players hate this skill.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And well... that's my experience. Now you can judge if they should be tradeable or not in your opinion, and what consequences it would have.

hell no then obby shouldnt be tradeable, its the same logic. No matter what your paying for the infinity robes you either buy the runes or the robes they both cost the same those who buy the item however just lose out on xp. If it were obby your buying runes and selling to store most likly.

The ONLY OBBY items that people still sell runes for are the Onyx (sp?) stone...NOTHING ELSE...You can get *almost* all the other things from drops...
