silver24-7
I would like everyone who thinks the new items should be untradeable sign here: -------- EDIT link has been taken out since minutes after someone was posting there on my forum account. I know the link should nothing have to do with it but im trying to do everything that might protect my account from that guy that was posting on my forum account. so just go to runescape forums and look for the thread in recent updates. --------- if the links doesnt work the threads called making new items untradeable in the recent updates section on jagex official forums. Also I will explain here why. These items are supposed to be a symbol of your dedication to magic, or this little minigame. It's like cwars armor, it shows how much time u spent getting it and u wouldnt want a rich dude buying 10mill of ebay walking around in something that took u 40-50 hours to get would u ? Well in those thread there are many more reasons for making it tradeable and i would like to quote this particular reason: Hm.. I decided to read through the manual that you can buy from the guy upstairs.. First page of the pizzaz part caught my eye.. Relating to this really.. "By earning points for performing the tasks in the four areas, the mage proves their adeptness at the different skill groups and hence can claim items to display their skill." So.. After reading that it makes me wonder more, why it's tradable :\. Also I would like everyone to post their thoughts and explain why they think it should be tradeable/untradeable. ty Silver24-7 I'm Finally 99 mage ^^ (and cooking...) :PSilver24-7 -
kudos6969
they should most definatly be untradeable so that people who work for them can keep em and those with oney but no patience dont get them. simple it will be stupid if they are all tradeable GWD solo drops: Armadyl Hilt sold at 63.5m - (More to come hopefully)

All_Bogs
Then no sane person would be able to collect them all. I mean, no one can stand doing the same Telekinese puzzles about a 100 times each  So no :P
silver24-7
honestly think of cwars gold armor. I takes 20 minutes to get 1 cwars ticket. ( assuming u win and lose an even times ) the full armor is what ? 2k+ tix ? 2k*20= 40.000 /60 = 666.66 hours. Saying you play 4 hours a day ( i know many play more or less then that ) 666.66 / 4 = 166 days. imagine you have to spend half a year paying members and playing runescape to get gold cwars armor :o:o:o:o Well same thing counts for this mage arena but i think it takes less time and also think it gives a lot more mage xp ( but im not sure dont flame on that pliz ) I'm Finally 99 mage ^^ (and cooking...) :PSilver24-7 -
Taldur
what about peaple who has 99 magic and dont want to train more but wants new robes ahhh... its good when u get lvls and get bonus reward robes and wands and stuff.... and some ppl will train there just for xp because this arena like jagex mentioned was for better and not so boring way to train magic so if they get robes and dont want them what should they do? tradeing them to other peaple is the best way then 8) and get money back

And, although I support this cause, I don't think a petition is going to change anything.

I like how you just decided out of the blue that these items are supposed to be a "symbol of your dedication" or some such nonsense. They're not, they're supposed to be actually useful. This is why they are not like the Castle Wars armor at all- if you want to compare them to anything, compare them to Barrows gear.

Well it doesnt say dedication it says adaptness but is there really that much of a difference ? Atonisk
I've currently got 99 magic so I really don't feel like wasting countless hours getting those dorky robes. However there's no shortcut to that spell >_
captainpoet
Solution...make certain items tradable. And those items should be teachers wand and lower wands, infinity top, and infinity bottom.
cyco
I think it would be a good idea beacause it really not that hard to get them it would take 2 weeks at most. You just have to have a lot of money.

The new robes and wands, at least the higher end ones, are actually very useful. Having said that, I think they should indeed be untradable. There should be at least a few useful items that you have to put time and energy into instead of just money you didn't work for like profits made from rares' rising prices. dwarfie76
Whine whine whine whine. Make this untradeable so other people can't get it. Seriously... why worry about how other people play their game? Play the game the way you want, whether someone else buys the clothes or earns them makes absolutely no difference to you. gunshafted
exactly what i was thinking when it first came out! and half the reason i liked the arena... i naturally assumed that all the items were untradeable, that every player of runescape would have to earn their wands and robes, and not just buy them like they can do with everything else... i was shocked when i got the wand and figured out it was tradeable... this ranks number 1... forget poh's, forget improving farming... forget birds eggs... MAKE THESE ITEMS UNTRADEABLE! i am a 234.66% supporter siggity siggity shwa

dwarfie76
MAKE THESE ITEMS UNTRADEABLE! Why? No-one has yet posted one single reason as to why they want these items untradeable other than their own irrational fear of someone else getting something that they might want. have you read all the posts? people have made very valiable points (which i agree with) as to why these items should be untradeable. People spend hours and hours training here to save up pazzaz points and get the robes. other people just spend there money and buy them. it just doesnt seem fair. jagex has it all backwards...the holiday items should have been tradeable (they are gone after a few days and then they work up value), the infinity robes should not be tradable (they are here to stay, all the value will do is decrease until everyone has them.) all you rich people need to stop buying your items and maybe acually work for them! so i back making them untradeable totally

No-one has yet posted one single reason as to why they want these items untradeable other than their own irrational fear of someone else getting something that they might want. EDIT: doh, misread rich for high level.. someone might've said it somewhere, but nevertheless a majority of the rich people are a high level so my point is still valid. but isn't an argument against you anymore, gunshafted. have you read all the posts? people have made very valiable points (which i agree with) as to why these items should be untradeable.
