First desert strykeworm task

Featured Replies

Title pretty much sums it up. I just got my first desert strykeworm task and I would like to know the best ways to kill them. Melee or range is fine, mage if i can profit from it.

Strykewyrms don't profit until the Ice variants. Anyways, you won't really need waterskins as you can survive on the waterskin drops and your bunyip. Wear offensive melee gear.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

So its pretty much a normal task gear wise? And just avoid the underground attack?

Yes, but if you're really worried about the desert heat, bring like 2 waterskins.

They do.

Even when I use a cannon, jungles still profit and deserts DEFINITELY profit.

Those potato cactus/papaya/pess/herb drops pay for the ppots, and the other drops add up very quickly too.

Plus elite clues are a nice distraction and are OK profit too.

Well I meant that they don't profit if using magic.

Blocking them is actually best. Even with the elite clues they aren't worth it due to poor effigy drop rates and slayer exp rates. The opportunity cost of doing them is too high.

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Low effigy, charm, and exp rates. The little cash gained doesn't justify the opportunity cost, as already pointed out.

No logical reason to do them unless you are out of points to cancel.

Well ive never done them before, so i wanted to do them just too see. Ill probably just cancel them in the future just because of how annoying they are with their special. But im done with the task anyway, so its too late now
