essiw
Well does it? Because the jagex kbase and tip.it state that using clay on a pottery's wheel does give strange rocks but firing it does not. However I have not gotten a rock from making urns and I can see complains on the RSOF about it too. Does someone know for sure they do not give strange rocks? And if they don't what is a quick way to get strange rocks from crafting? making bowstrings? http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. Gravy
Most people use dhide for crafting rocks afaik. No idea on urns though. Follow me on Twitter!FORGET NOT THE CHICKEN.I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.
Quyneax
I use gold ore > gold bars > amulets/bracelets for smithing/crafting rocks. AHappySeeker
It would be more efficient to save the gold bars for alch fodder while slaying and use Dhides for rocks.
Quyneax
Eh I don't think you have spare apm while slaying. Besides it's not like you need magic xp (mining, woodcutting, fishing all give you plenty of xp, not to mention ice stryke tasks). But yes it's not efficient to use gold, I just get them when I feel like afking. AHappySeeker
Only about 120 APM or less is required to alch slay and that's easy with F key usage. It's just not for the lazy. Personally, I mostly afk slay or spend my time chatting in cc. The exp from it is significant, though.
essiw
Thanks for the tips but already got it making molten glass (had no gold bars and my crafting level is to low for dhides). Still wondering why you can't get rocks from urns... did they just forget? http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. The exp from it is significant, though.Eh that's not easy at all - you wouldn't be able to alch at a time where you have to pick up drops due to having to move and re-attack every two tiles to not waste attack turns. Lossless drop picking is, depending on whether the monster is right or left click attack, 2/3 clicks in 2.4 seconds, not to mention every other job you have to do (cannon, drops, pots, spec weapons, familiar). Alching also costs money, and there's much better items to alch than gold bars. In the end it's not worth the trouble, not because it isn't significant xp, but because you don't need the magic xp if you are going for high/max total, and if you only want max combat I'd say it's more efficient to barrage for charms and slay with a steel titan for your last 5m slayer xp (as opposed to last 100k).
