Replacements if you want:

Bandos chestplate > Guthan Plate

Bandos tassets = V skirt

Dfs = Chaotic kite

SGS = Eee

Sol = Chaotic staff

Dragon boots > Inf boots w/ bandos chestplate

(Frem boots 4 if you have obv)

 

 

also replace most sup restores with pray pots

and start of yak should have more brews but use same amount overall in yak

oh and put 1 yak pouch in 2nd row of yak taking out 1 pray pot, and then with extra inv space in inventory put 1 sup pray

 

note i'm experienced at dks etc so you might want shorter trip

less pray less ovls more brews if you suck basically

BCP really is a lot better than Guthan's plate, 10 more mage attack and slight prayer and strength and ranged defence advantages - everything you need. CKS is also a lot less magic attack than arcane, as well as lower prayer and it degrades. I'd only recommend using it if you have little money and very high dungeoneering. SGS costs you some damage, again wouldn't recommend it, also for risk. You can afford to lose some ranged defence for another 40 magic attack, really.

 

CSB is pretty good, but by no means required, you can also use ice barrage. Ccbow is a luxury and on the right population you may never use it.

Yes, bandos chestplate is definitely better than barrows plate.

Arcane's magic bonus is useless. Rex has no magic defense, you hit fine in -30 mage bonus, and setup with dboots + bandoschestplate replacements is about 0 mage bonus.

The only good thing about arcane is it's pray bonus, but I think you are better off going with higher range def and/or str bonus (ckite/dfs)

I do think dfs > ckite, i only use ckite because i'm very high dg and low money.

Compared to surgebox, arcane loses because csb has ~1.05* damage. If you don't have it just mage in dfs.

Don't use ice barrage, it is not worth it. You can cast fire surge while luring rex, you will probably be hit 1-2 times but you can usually melee pray or ss flash so it doesn't mater.

I'd only use ice barrage if you're duo cannon tribriding, because they die very fast. 1 person using it.

 

SGS is less consistant but it is better if you are advanced. You can usually heal from soulsplit after an overload anyway and with sgs you can heal when you need it (against supreme) and it heals some prayer.

I put it as equal because sgs has bad dps compared to rapier for those 2 hits and increases risk. Also takes off your shield while using it.

 

Ccbow is a bit of a luxury, rune cbow is fine. But you will always use it sometimes unless your population is so high that rex always spawns during the time you're killing supreme, which is annoying to deal with.
