Saylen
I have all the stats for Nomad, and I feel pretty ready for it. But I still want to see your guys opinions on it either way. [spoiler=Gear:] I was planning on this, the Helm has scrolls for Spirit Kyatt. And maybe go with Fury [spoiler=Inventrory:] I have a granite maul there but I will be using Bandos GodSword for spec (it was on loan) or even Armadyl godsword if I get it loaned. This weapons will be used for spec only, unless recommended otherwise. I was thinking that Obby Shield with Whip after specs would be better for defensive bonuses. The Super Restore at the very top could be replaced with Ranging Pot, for harder hits. [spoiler=BoB; TerrorBird:] Terrorbird has pouches for Spirit Kyatt, and more scrolls, just in case I dont have enough in my helm of nezzy The Super Attack and Super Strength will be used before specing on Nomad. On melee fight, or even at beginning of the fiight and then again at melee portion. Please tell me if you believe this is sufficient enough to take out Nomad. Thank you, please constructive criticism is great, insults are best left for some other post....
i_trollz_u
I'd really recommend void, and i'll tell you right off that even with void, 99 range, rigour, and a chaotic crossbow, Nomad was still able to tank the majority of my hits. With 75 range using eagle eye and a rcbow you're in for a long fight, and i would ditch using melee altogether. Your melee stats aren't going to get very far, and an extra brew would probably be more beneficial than failed specs.
Sir_Squab
Your number of bolts seems kinda low, not sure if going without at least a tortoise is a good idea. Also, BGS > AGS for this fight I'd say. BGS lowers the def, so if you start off the fight with a good BGS spec you'll be a lot better off. In fact, without a good BGS spec you might want to abandon the fight. To be honest, I agree with the above poster about melee. Given your stats, just use range EXCEPT for a good BGS spec at the start of the fight to lower his def. The extra brew/restore will come in handy especially since you don't have a tort. Honestly tho, I'm not sure you can take Nomad without a tort =/ If these supplies cost a lot of money to you, don't do the fight without a tort. If you can afford to lose the fight once or a few times, then give it a shot. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. CharlieBrown
Switch out some super restore pots for normal restore potsAnd the reasoning: Super RestsMore expensiveCan only drink 3 doses of brew for ever 1 supre restore sipNo need for extra prayer Normal RestsWayyy cheaperCan drink 4 doses of brew for ever 1 dose of rest. This allows for more brews and less restoresNormal restores don't give you prayer back, but still restore your stats the same. Take a few super restores ONLY for prayer, use normal restores other wise. Also, drink a dose of sup attack/str/defence BEFORE you go in. Then bank the pots. Take 2 range pots with you also Main Account - Max cape achieved 10th September 2011 Noob Account - 2300 total and climbing
Sir_Squab
Range pots are kinda useless if his only healing method is brews. Switching out some super rests for normal rests is a good idea tho. Squakus
Your gear seems pretty good, but the inventory could use some work. Stat-boosting potions won't really have an effect because you will be brewing a lot so you should probably switch them out. At your levels, range is going to be more powerful, so you should only use melee for a BGS spec at the start and maybe when Nomad goes berserk. You should also use normal restore pots instead of super restores because the brew:rest ratio with normal restores is 4:1 as opposed to super restores where it's only 3:1. you could bring 1-2 prayer potions to make up for not having super restores. you may even want to take ~2 restore pots less, because you won't be restoring while Nomad is charging his hp-1 attack. Seeing as you are going to be using an accumulator, you shouldn't need more then 200 bolts for the whole fight. Using a war tort will make Nomad a lot easier, but it is possible to beat him with a terrorbird. Just dodge his attacks, remember to drink some restore every couple of brew doses, and don't panic. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation. Quyneax
Instead of bringing any boosting pots with you, pot up at the bank, since you'll only be speccing then brewing like hell :P. Lose the whip too, diamonds are optional again, swap out the dragon boots for snakeskin, get an archer's ring, and get a spirit shield. eyeye
Torag's legs with snakeskin boots, bring a few more kyatt scrolls if you're using a terrorbird because you're going to need to spam for quite a while i did it with a tort at 72 range, but i had a much higher defense than yours. I definitely think you can do it, i just think its going to be a difficult fight, and bring some broads for when he does his hp-1 attack, dont wanna kill yourself :)
Quyneax
Torag's legs are definitely not worth it, Nomad attacks with magic for most of the fight and you can avoid half his melee attacks anyway. AxiSyn
your setup looks pretty good. I tried several different strategies, but the one that gave me the best results is to completely tank his hits. Sounds crazy right? The key is tip just bring a kyatt w/scrolls + more in your helm, and spam familiar spec likecrazy. Use ruby bolts, brews, and super restores. You should play around wIth the restore: brew ratio to see how many you need, 5 our so kills on him he was berserk and I had 2 doses left and died >_<. Now the big thing that I did that eventually tipped the scales in my favor was going crazy over 2 ish months to do 71-92 pay and use leeches/soul split. Plenty of people have done with out tho. Typing On phone arm but i'll go more in depth when I get home.
