SacredFlam3s
So im going for 91 herblore for overloads so I can go boss for cash for turmoil, as frosts are completely full of bots nowadays. How much will it cost to get 91 herblore, making extremes/super antifires/spec restore/super prayer etc and and any suggested number to make? like 1k exts 500 super prayers? Drazhor
You don't really need super prayer pots, make only about 200 of them at the very most! I'm using calc to figure out which would be a nice way for you to get 91... Super antifires are nice to make cause they're the pots I most use aside from extremes.. it's around 2.6m exp from 85 to 91 I think? so if you have the patience,-Make 2k super antifires (You need the desert phoenix feathers, about ~400 an hour with eagles; you need a spirit laurpia, ring fo dueling/ring of kinship rope and access to the eagle system, tele with laurpia, go to eagles nw of the tele spot, go to desert, phoenix is right at exit)-Make about 1k/2k spec restore, much more useful than i thought at first. That gives you around 820k exp...For the rest, i'd suggest making bout 3k super attacks, 2k super strengths and about 2k super defence pots, just so you really have enuogh for making overloads with. Then you should be about level 90 with a wee bit of exp to go, make the ext mage and range pots you'll need for the overloads then the super prayers to get you the last bit of exp. I dont have pricing for you but you can work it out by price of ingredients. But I can tell you it will be Hellish-expensive.. Visit my blog! Click the madness for more madness! AHappySeeker
Your idea gives you a massive void of money in your bank that you can't do anything with for a long time. Do NOT make extremes unless you need them. If you want to understand more about this, research what a sunk cost is. Drazhar's advice will take too long and cost about the same as just hammering sup defs at 15 gp/xp or going for brews when nests crash again. With that out of the way, it will only take a few hours of mixing to get to 91. Don't sacrifice utterly [developmentally delayed]ed amounts of cash just for a little bit of speed. You don't have 95 prayer yet and I doubt that you have max gear.
SacredFlam3s
the idea is that when i have the extremes then I dont have to make any more, its more cost effective and better in the long ter, because then i dont have to spend more cash on making extremes for overloads. and ill have a life supplies worth DK's Drops: 7 Berserker Rings, 2 Warrior Ring, 1 Archers Ring, 7 Dragon Hatchet, 1 Seercull, 3 Elite Clue - All SoloGWD Drops (CS): 1 Bandos Chestplate, 2 Armadyl Hilt, 1 Armadyl ChestplateSlayer:1 D skirt, 2 Whip, 12 G Mauls, 2 Dragon Boots
SacredFlam3s
and i did some calculations and the extremes range from 18-26 gp/xp, and the most expensive is defence which i only need 500-1k of. So im looking at 70mil needed, but can anyone give recommendations on what to make? im thinking right now 2k ext attack, 2k ext str 1k ext def 1k spec restore 1k super anti fire 700 ext magic 1k ext range and 500 super prayers, giving me 1883k xp, any other ideas? ill make 500 overloads(3) with this set up once im 91 DK's Drops: 7 Berserker Rings, 2 Warrior Ring, 1 Archers Ring, 7 Dragon Hatchet, 1 Seercull, 3 Elite Clue - All SoloGWD Drops (CS): 1 Bandos Chestplate, 2 Armadyl Hilt, 1 Armadyl ChestplateSlayer:1 D skirt, 2 Whip, 12 G Mauls, 2 Dragon Boots

He'd be much better off doing like has been suggested, making extremes, super antifires,a few super prayers and whatever else. Then, he could use extremes when he doesnt need ovls, and he wont be wasting cash in the long run. Also, shouldnt ovls be the only thing made from 91-99 herb unless you need more extremes? Your argument regarding super defs at 15 gp/xp would be a superior alternative to the OP's ~20gp/xp extremes method, but only under the premise that untradeable potions have a value of 0. This is something which many people (and I'm assuming the OP) would reject, however. fatherdeath
Kinda confused as to why all the above posters wasted time doing calculations. Made me lol. Anyway, if you want to know the gp/xp values, why not use grimy's spreadsheets? https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AldEhLOK6ejJdEJqYmtJeFJGX1hPVm9kLWV0Rk84Z0E
Quyneax
As Attenuation said, extremes are only more expensive if you value the final product at 0, and even then they are faster xp than super defence (or equal in the case of stewing I guess). AHappySeeker
But it's a sunk cost. It's only beneficial to invest sunk costs when it is impossible to acquire commodities on demand. You can make extremes when you need them. If you stockpile, you'll have millions of gp just sitting in your bank doing nothing while you spend ages trying to get through them. All that time, it could have gone into prayer or something that actually increases the speed with which you gain exp/money.
Quyneax
You'd have invested it into xp? I don't see what's wrong with that really. Ignoring that it's simply more efficient at many incomes to make overload.
