Yup, these trees no longer seem to give me any birds nests and they are taking longer to get logs. Anyone else notice this? I've cut ~500 logs and not a single nest, I used to get at least one every 50 logs.

We call that luck :wink:

Yesterday I cut about 1k logs. I got 4 nests.

 

 

 

But here is what is weird, I got 2 nearly back to back, ring nest then seed nest, several hundred logs later same thing, ring nest then seed nest 4 logs later.

hey you 2 are lucky, not only have i cut about 1k and not had any nest, but i not even had a freaky forester in my entire career as a wcer :( :( so i agree and thing that the randomness is all down to luck

When I used Mahogony for firemaking I didn't seem to get that much more than the other trees to be honest. I've recently got quite a few more birds eggs from yew nests recently though.

Maybe I was Lucky but I used to get a better number of nests from Mahogany Trees - It now seems that things have changed me thinks as well - but then I could be wrong :oops:

yes honest to god, they gave tons of nests, in 2 hours time of firemaking i had gotten 18 nest drops

I think the odds did change. I believe they changed when they did the update a few weeks ago that added wyverns... nests used to come around every 2-3 loads of mahogs... After the wyvern update, I cut (and burned of course) around 1k of logs with no more nests. Finally gave up :(

Yeah, I literally used to get 1 - 2 nests every load. It was crazy. Now you dont seem to get any at all anymore

Yea, I found out about how "good" mahoganys were about a week before that update. I got about 40 nests that week, since then I've gotten around 8. Yea it may be random, but that's pretty obvious that the script has changed somewhat.

Have to agree! Much less nest drops in last weeks :(
