elite void or dhide for nomad?

I have 99 range, 90hp, 89 magic, 81 def

 

I have full elite void, robin hood hat, ranger boots, ranging ammy, unholy book, and ava's alerter

 

I am wondering which set of armor would be better for taking down nomad, I really really want to kill this guy finally. I have gotten him down to beserk mode, but then screwed up.

I'd have to say the better option is full elite void the most important thing when fighting Nomad is to maximise your accuracy and attack bonuses full void will do this much better than D'hide.

Use elite void, and a deflector if you have one.

 

Don't forget to use a kyatt too.. It does wonders against Nomad. :wink:

Mmm yes, deflector + ACP will do you well for Nomad a Kyatt after your War Tort is gone and a lot of brews. :)

it may be worthwhile do bring something that had a high melee soak percentage for nomads max hp-1 attack. When I fought nomad I was able to save a large amount of lp every time he used that attack (I believe I wore torags) I meleed Nomad though- it's something to consider but perhaps not viable.

You know, Elite Void is more or less the same magic defense as Black dhide, so there's not much reason to use dhide when Elite Void is avaliable.

I've fought using both, and I feel like I got hit less hard and less often when I wore dhide instead of void, maybe I'll try with dhide again, haven't tried it since i got void

I felt the same way. I grabbed a dragonfire shield and I felt like it got significantly easier.

 

I basically switched out barrows + deflector for void gloves + dragonfire shield.

Don't know it was just the mentality or what.

You can use ruby bolts with high accuracy gear (void set doesn't affect blood forfeit damage, and it only activates if you hit) or void deflector with diamond bolts (diamond specs are more accurate and deal more damage). Same principle as Nex pretty much.
