Diomedus
I am trying to get the stats needed to finish the elite diaries. I am wondering if I should use goldsmithing gauntlets and smelt gold, or buy addy bars and smith bolts. Also, do either one of these finished products sell well or not? I would like be get rid of them once i've finished to get some of the money back. Also, I assume the addy bolts are faster, but is goldsmithing slow like to an unbearable point like cannonballs? or is it ok? If you have alternative ideas for me to do smithing training I would appreciate it, I am trying to find a fast-ish and cheap-ish way, maybe a 20m-40m loss or something. Thank you P.S. I think I heard that doing superheat with goldsmith gauntlets speeds it up, but is it a pain to do? would regular smelting be easier (more AFK-ish?) War is not about who's right, it's about who's left
JPMC Mate
I would just regular smith if you want semi-afkness. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous. Quyneax
Smelting only is more afk but superheating is definitely good thing if you value magic xp. Smithing adamant bolts is probably just as fast as smelting gold, too. Try this. CharlieBrown
Smithing is the same speed as smelting. That is, 1 gold ore takes the same amount of time to make into a barAs it does to hammer 1 addy bar into a bolt So they're both just as afkGo with the chepeast gp/xp, or superheat & smelt gold for faster xp Main Account - Max cape achieved 10th September 2011 Noob Account - 2300 total and climbing
AxiSyn
I know this isn't one of your options, but doing the ceremonial swords at the artisan's workshop is pretty good xp. Doing it only half-assedly since it came out, buying just a little extra coal and ore here and there, and using my mtk coal, I've gotten from 74-almost 91 smithing since the workshop came out at the end of March. If you have any questions about it reply here or pm me in-game sometime, I'll be glad to help  Quest cape first Achieved 29JAN2009, Re-Achieved 15SEP2011, Cook cape Achieved 12APR2009 (Easter 2009)Strength Cape Achieved 20NOV2010Now offering assists for 97 Farming, 97 Smithing, and 97 Herblore, PM me in-game!!!Proud U.S. Navy Sailor

It doesn't work on gold, however, only for bolts/arrowheads. Speaking of which look into addy arrowheads too, not just addy bolts. ~It's Super Effective! Yeah plates too, but it doesn't work for make-x options such as gold, since each ore is replaced with a bar (thus it doesn't clear up any inventory space). ~It's Super Effective!
