So ok, i just completed the quests for mtk, I log out to check my thread, where I ask about mtk (what to gather, and stuff), i read the posts, decide what to assign the workers with and boom. I log in and gone. Everything gone. I'm not a good money maker, so loosing ~5 mil is a big thing for me. Uch. I hate when people do that. I don't have any melee armour, nor runes or arrows, nothing. So guys, what your advice would be? Where can I start. Start completely from scratch. Thanks!

You have to first find out why you got hacked in the first place.

 

Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and scan with it to remove any possible keyloggers on your computer. THEN you can focus on changing your recoveries, passwords, etc.

 

If you decided to give your account information to someone else or if you leave it in a place where it's easily accessible (or even if you have recovery questions/account information that's easily guessable) then that could be the reason why your account was accessed and cleaned.

One tip, because Jagex doesn't take care of any customers security, i would highly recommend that you place all you belongings in a bank every time you log out.

 

Apparantly, i forgot to do that, and the hacker was waiting for me to slip my chore once, then he robbed 30 mil of me... Always use a secure pin. The pin is the only security to an account. Passwords mean nothing as you can simply retrieve your account again by recovering it, but you cant recover stolen items!! So use the pin.

Or you can make close to ten times that amount of money picking mort myre fungi. Then do a round of dailies to double that and be back up to a mil, invest into a day of farming herbs for 1.5 mil total. Do dailies again to have enough to invest into mtk and invest the rest your cash into herb seeds leaving enough to do dailies. You'll be up to 10 mil+ in a week.

Look around on you Task Manager Processes and make sure there isn't anything weird there.

Not too long ago i was keylogged by something my AV never picked up. I only found it a day or two later after checking the Task Manager.

If you know how to flip, fletch broad bolts at the GE while waiting for your offers to complete.
