Dunno about BG but if you want any C&C on body I notice some anatomy things if you can be bothered to change..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Right arm too short, shield too high up unless you have it on his elbow, sword too small/thin, I like it though, very dark :P , anything dark for bg then it shall be good. WB to pixeling =)

You're using too less contrast. Get some contrast in that shading.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, perhaps try a bit more subtle tone of green, if you really want that thingie on the helmet to be green.. Lots of red surrounding it, then all of the suddon, BOOM theres a superbright, compared to the rest, green blotch..

The red stuff on the mystic could use some better shading, they look rather flat. So does the helmet, but that could just be the lack of contrast.

Wow, I copy and pasted your pic and it helped me learn more about lighting, I have never mastered it and your sig helped me! Thanks! On subject, very, very nice, as someone above me said, longer arms, sword, shield in wrong place, etc. I understand why MXM took up pixeling because of you now.

make the sword 1 straight line of pixals it will look a bit better um maybe in tead of the green hair thing put 2 horns and make it d med?

That shading you are using really looks like the kind I use, it shows the shape, not the shadows, I like it, but if I'm saying your shading looks like mine you should really improve it :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I agree with DH on the green thing, make it a tad bit "dirtier" and darker.

 

 

 

I as well agree with Lowgravit on the shield.
