Spear or Plate Body

So I have started doing dungoneering quite a bit lately. I currently have a Gorgonite maul and a entgallow longbow bound. I guess a spear is very useful for the weaknesses but also a platebody just for the defence. What should I get?

Plate, and if you're worried about monster weaknesses, you could swap out the maul for a 2h - 2 attack styles is always better than 1

Inefficiency = fun. That's objective and can't be debated. Ever.

Gorgonite 2h kills zombies, forgotten rangers and forgotten mages faster than maul, as well as a number of other things strong vs crush. I'd recommend binding it. A platebody would be your best second bind until you get a slayer drop (shadow silk hood, blood necklace, hexhunter bow).

If you're asking for the best binds in terms of efficiency, we can give that advice.

Any kind of bow isn't very useful in dungoneering(Minus a few bosses. And in those cases a t6 - t7 bow with fractite arrows should suffice. Even then it's just faster to kill them with melee), minus the hexhunter. Which is the rarest and most sought-after bind. So I'd lose the bow for a platebody until you find a shadow silk hood. Which is the most useful bind and should be bound with your weapon until 100 dungoneering.

As for your weapon, your attack and strength bonuses seem pretty even. So i would drop the maul and bind a gorg 2h. I have to admit; maul is sexy. And it's worth to bind over a 2h if you can wield one that is two tiers higher then the 2h you can wield. I have a prome one bound on my battle pure since i have 92 strength and 75 attack, and it works well. But i know getting 5 attack levels and binding a gorg 2h would be better.

Also, if you're going to ditch the longbow as suggested, then you're going to want to change your second bind (I'm assuming it's curently arrows). At the moment I would recommend binding law runes, though if you get 70 runecrafting at some stage you should instead bind a celstial surgebox (it counts as an ammo bind), you can fill with up with 125/225 casts of air wave/surge (you can do it after you've already bound it if you get one earlier).

maul and bow binds? mauls are only better if your str is 20+ lvls higher than your attack.

scrap those, bind a gorg 2h and a plate til you can get a hood, bind laws in ammo slot.

bows are worthless, except for hex.
