I'm looking for some way I can acquire a lot of uncut gems in a shorter amount of time... without buying them. I've got the stats to do most everything and go to different locations. If there is some slayer monsters that drop a lot, I'm down to kill a bunch of those to collect the gems. Right now, I'm doing the most obvious thing to me, mining gem rocks.. in the Al Kharid Desert dungeoneering resource dungeon mining area. I keep getting a lot of the crappy ones... so I'm looking for other ways to collect. Any suggestions? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I usually get like 20 gems per task from them, with a relatively good frequency of dragonstone. He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked... Wessan Posted August 28, 2011 Share Posted August 28, 2011 Karamja gloves 3 can teleport you to a gem mine beneath Shilo Village. There is also a gem mine in Shilo Village if you have done the quest. On-topic: Lock safes in Rogue's Den are the best consistent source for standard gem stones in my experience; even when you include gem rocks as gem rocks give opal, jade & topaz far more often. Beaumonde Posted August 28, 2011 Share Posted August 28, 2011 Mining shooting stars while wearing a charged Amulet of glory and ring of wealth produces lots of gems. You might want to bring a gem bag if the star location is far from a bank, as depending on your mining level and star size the gems can fill up your inventory.
