Zerocool11
Oh man, I haven't played Warhammer 40k in a looooong time... I think my Space Marines are in some box in my garage lol. I collected Black Templars way back when in like 1998. Good times, I check the Warhammer site from time to time to see all the new models and things they've come out with. I'd actually like to get a hold of the Black Templar Codex because when I first started collecting they weren't a very common Chapter and I'm interested in their background stories and special characters. Since I haven't touched the things in awhile, can you semi-elaborate on what's happened in the past, what 8 years? kthx

Couldn't afford to start buying new models even if I wanted to.

Yeah I've thought about selling them, but I just can't do it. Keep them for nostalgia's sake.

Zerocool11
lol I deliberately picked the Black Templars because they were easy to paint. Even still I wasn't very good at all. My hands are too shaky.

Tigra00
I never played it, but I did paint the models. I liked painting them, but I tried to play a game once and felt like a moron...Just isn't for me, I guess. I had an Ork army I painted, a Tyranid army I painted, and a Chaos Space Marines, complete with Demons I sculpted and painted myself from scratch (using peices from other models and Green Stuff puddy crap), a few of them were reeeeeally cool. I sold each army to kids from around the neighborhood who played and had money to spend...Well, their parents money, I'm sure.. They were really happy with them I guess, as they all liked playing, but sucked at painting, whereas it is visa-versa for me...I don't like to play, but I was good at painting. I never really got any of the rules or whatever, and I no longer paint them...Those models are WAY too expensive...some of the larger models like the Bloodthirster or any vehical are around $40 or $50...FOR SOME PLASTIC! It's pretty outragious.. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

Mauler
Do any of you have pictures of the models you have painted?
murdermoose
I used to play that like last year. I stopped because of the cash and I was pretty busy. I played TAU and I probably made the best army lists. My favorite model would probably be my Shas'o(commander) with a plasma rifle, fusion blaster, shield generator combo. He was amazing, I could pwn pretty much anything with him, and when I got annoyed I charged him into combat(funny stuff, I usually won too). My paint scheme was pretty sweet I have to admit. It was a base coat black with scab red here and there. I had some fluff for them and kinda wanted to use them with farsight(woot farsight!), but never actually bought farsight himself. As for photos I actually don't have any.

murdermoose
Hmmm... well first of all I can't justgo get a digital camera, we're not all ritch boys here thank you very much however I do have a solution of sorts... Well you see I have this science project due soon(10% of my final mark) and I had to use a disposable camera to take pictures of it and there's still exposures left... so I could hopefully do that. Also, I used to be part of a site with forums and stuff called http://www.total40k.com It's a very good site, I haven't been on it in a year though so I don't even know if it is still there. edit: Sorry, I actually just googled it and it's been moved.
