HostVesta
Hello, I'm currently 78 Dungeoneering and i really want a maul for Pvp, Slayer and maybe even some bossing later on, i was just wondering if it is good for training Strength or close to as good as a Saradomin Sword? Thank you.
Noxx
Its not going to be a great option. It's slow speed means that it's easily out dps'd by SS and rapier.
Powerfrog
If you're interested in summoning then you might want to kill waterfiends for charms with the chaotic maul. You can start at a fairly low level and max melee there while getting charms for 99 summoning. Other than that, it's not really good for training purposes, rapier is far better for 99% of enemies. If you have to choose between one of the two, Rapier is the one to get.

At lower levels its far FAR too inaccurate to even be close, and seeing as he's training from a fairly low level the difference is definatley worth 200k tokens, if you plan on doing it till 99 summoning, that is. But yeah, other than waterfiends and some team bossing, rapier beats it for everything.

LitterBug
well maul is 10000% easier to flash with if you're slaying - you don't really need to flash.Of course, if you do - you'll save some money but prayer potions are extremely cheap as it is.For the most part, grab some pray pots - throw on turmoil (or piety in your case) and a prot pray if necessary.Other then waterfiends (due to how long the task takes), you don't really need to bank for more pots. Since OP is going to be training at a lower level - rapier is much better to get.Flashing is really only useful for bossing (and I guess places that you absolutely need to conserve prayer but you won't yet) but the OP won't be bossing anytime soon. stonewall337
well maul is 10000% easier to flash withNope. completely false. If you are so bad that you can not flash prayer with rapier, it means you will be leaving it on too long with maul, longer then the game tick you need. Its only easier if you are on bad internet, in which case flashing won't work anyway, or you just fail at flashing. Get CR. CM is bad for training str.
