ImForReal
Hey! I've been lvl 68 in summoning for a long time, so I've decided to get lvl 88 and beyond. Problem is, I have virtually no charms whatsoever. So my questions are:1. What are the best methods for farming charms, both time- and moneywise, aswell as counting xp in other skills (magic, range, etc.).2. How many charms would I need for lvl 88 and/or 96 (depending on how good the methods are ;)) My melee skills are in the 80s, magic 90, range 79. Thanks in advance! RoswellCrash
I don't have much info on it, but I'm sure you've heard about Rock Lobsters, using Burst/Barrage magics. I think that's still a great source of Charms. I also recently read about these Charm Sprites, been thinking about giving them ago no idea how good they are. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=hunting_guide.htm#charm Even if my info isn't helpful, at least it's a free bump, right? - Twitter | RuneScape FB Group | My PC
Powerfrog
Killing waterfiends in ancient caverns with a bunyip and protect from range and piety at all times is about 100 crimsons an hour, and only a 100k an hour loss at most with possible profit. You also get about 70k/hour combat experience and a decent effigy rate. Ice bursting rock lobsters is roughly 200 crimson charms an hour, and with SoL and charged battle robes, should only cost you about 500k an hour at most in runes, magic pots and prayer pots. Great magic experience. Ice barraging rock lobsters is roughly 250 crimson charms an hour, and with SoL and charged battle robes, should cost about 950k an hour at most in runes, magic pots and prayer pots. Amazing magic experience. Another great method is cannoning the black demons in edgeville dungeon. You can get over 100 crimsons an hour, nice profit, and much more effigies than the above methods. (I mention effigies as they can be used on summoning xp, giving 36k summoning each at level 90 summoning* PLUS an average of 11250 experience from opening the effigy with summoning yourself (You can do so starting at 87, using clan citadal boosts, you should be saving your effigies for at least this high anyway.) PLUS an extra 78750 experience in other skills if you open them yourself too, per effigy.) *Amount of xp given from the dragonkin lamp you get from the effigy is related to your level, so it's highly advised to save your effigies until you're at least 90, possibly 87 if impatient. Quyneax
If you want to train slayer as well, slay for your charms. If you just want high summoning I'd recommend barraging. If you want high summoning and effigies, black demons or even cave crawlers. If you have soul split, kill glacors regardless of what you want because they are amazing like that :P. You mostly get gold charms from the minis.... consider wether it is worth it to you. Also, when killing Bork, wear a ring of wealth as it activates 100% of the kills for better loot. I usually get a crimson on most trips, and occasionally a blue. It takes probably 30 seconds to kill them anyway.
