Jagex actually does ban bots

Featured Replies

My friend irl had his 2nd account banned for botting. Crazy, right?!? I guess that's what you get for spending 30 hours straight botting ranged.

I'm glad your friend got banned. Most people won't agree with me, but I would rather have goldfarming bots than player bots. We know that the only thing goldfarming bots do is making money for a company or something, but the player bots are cheating to get an unfair advantage. That is why I report EVERYBODY on my friends list who bots.

Also this should be on the bot thread.

I'd rather have it the other way around, personally. Goldfarmers are the ones that are currently making the game unplayable.

Player bots only matter if you care about other people's achievements compared to yours, which I really don't. Goldfarming bots on the other hand have been wreaking havoc on the way I play for the past few months.

Lowering the prices of skills is A-OK for me. Like I said, most people will disagree with me.

The problem is that they won't be effective moneymaking options or skill rewards for players. Frost dragons, for example, are impossible to kill because there are more cannons than there are spawns, and dragon slaying was among the best low level moneymakers in the game. And that doesn't even touch on slayer monsters that are farmed to the point where tasks are nearly impossible.

Yes, herblore and prayer will be cheaper, but you're [cabbage] out of luck if you don't already have the money for it.

Today, money is made through merchanting, bossing, and gambling. Skills have been dead for awhile now.

Hell, they are pretty much inaccessible to me as well, but I won't harp and moan. It took me like a year to get my first mill by mining iron. I did it, and so can they.

The problem is that they can't. I tried doing tests for a guide, and I litterally could not get a full load of iron in under 5 minutes, and that was when I was lucky. The F2P game is 'unplayable' by modern definitions (aka efficient). Sure, new players can make their mills by mining iron, then go train on spiders and whatnot until they can boss hunt, but it takes FAR longer to do now because of the bot situation.

That was also me selling iron for somewhere around 60 gp each.
