It's been going good but i'm still having some issues with my gear setup and getting a higher kill rate.At the moment i'm using Void Mage, Deflector, Barrows Gloves, SW Cape, Ragefire Boots, Onyx (i), Fury, SoL. Void Melee Switch + Rapiers for minions.I'm getting about 35 kills per hour, 40 at most. I admit that i waste about 2 or 3 kills per hour logging my drops, but i'm more concerned about the other 10 per hour i'm losing.Does my setup need some refining?I've tried using Ahrims, Neit, Mage Book with a D Def + Rapier switch but i haven't been having much luck with that. Can anyone suggest a better setup? EDIT: New Question - Enduring. Best way to kill it? Rapier seems to hit a lot of 0's and sub 80s. I've tried rapier on Slash and Stab and both seem to be the same. Steel Titan doesn't hit at all, i'm guessing Enduring is immune to Familiars. I'm pretty much as far away from the Glacor as i can be. Any tips? Octarine Posted September 25, 2011 Share Posted September 25, 2011 (edited) Use berserker(i) and dragon boots all the time.Use ASN when maging and when you switch to meleeing the minions switch out your helm, rapier and to fury.DDef switch isn't worth it since you're near 100% accurate with melee and gloves give the better strength bonus without sacrificing the void set bonusWhen you switch back to mage put your Helm, ASN, Staff and a ROW back on. also using an ardy cape or fire cape would work much better since prayer potion use isn't a big issue, and you should finish on the unstable Steel titan would be a big help, but you really need to be able to soul split basically all the health you need before you switch to using titan to take out the sapping glacyte. I don't have one at the moment but getting one won't take too long.And what about SoL vs. Chaotic Staff? Is the time spent getting it worth the extra boost? I don't see why someone 100+ dg even went maging something without one. Chaotic staff is just about worth it probably, if only for the dungeoneering xp you have to get anyway. You need to be a lot more perfect without soul split to last as long as you could easily with soul split. I've been having absolutely no trouble just fire surging the glacytes, I usually (90%) of the time kill them all by the time the unstable one is about to explode for the 2nd time so really no time lost. And this is wearing melee gear without a magic boosting necklace. Soul Split isn't needed in my experience either due to the fact that longer trips aren't needed due to close proximity to the bank so with a unicorn you should be able to survive until the unicorn runs out (with a bit of practice anyway) and no other healing needed. Although as you don't have unicorn that's not an option really. But you definitely don't need soul split to be successful there. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
