Decided I will farm my own dragon pickaxe, wether it takes a day or a week.

 

- I got rapier + turmoil + extremes/overloads + 500 super prayer pots banked + unicorn. Supplies are not a problem

 

- Will not use a cannon

 

What should I be killing? I've seen some people saying that I should go for the big guys for 20minutes until the other go unagressiv and then kill those? Should I approach with a prayer setup?

 

Never tried the area so a bit clueless on how to achieve maximum kills p/h :P

well tip.it says the big white guys have a higher chance to drop pick, use a cannon prayer range and kill the white guys forget the name so they dont mage u to bad

Why do you not want to use a cannon?

Well I camped there for about a week, got about 4k kills and 3 picks, so it shouldn't take longer than a week to get one unless your luck is really bad.

 

I was getting around 200 k/h killing just the handcannoneers with extremes, turmoil, and rapier. Although dwogres are probably better pick rates, I like the consistent profit from handcannoneers (handcannons+shots), although dwogres are better in the long run I guess.

 

For dwogres though, just wear veracs/bandos, bunyip/unicorn, and pray range and they won't be any trouble. Nothing else to increase k/h unless you cannon

If you're doing dwogres, so long as you never attack the dwarves (and why would you) you can just pray melee the whole time. You shouldn't really need to heal atall. The tip.it guide for this has a great section on dwogres: Chaos Dwarf Battlefield guide

 

Wearing anything else to boost your strength would be better too, and using void melee would be EVEN better for your kills/hr. Pretty chilled, so long as you dont attack the dwarves :P and I've found their effigy rate isn't half bad either, though it could just be luck

I cannoned/barraged cannoneers/dwarfs for a while, decided to switch to meleeing dwogres after I got a left half drop. Cannoneers have higher lp and will hit with melee, plus there's usually a bot or two on most of them. I've done around ~1500 dwogre kills now, using void+whip and protect melee/piety. I've been getting 150ish kills a trip, xp is not bad either.
