Effectively kill Glacors with this setup?

I'm wanting to start killing Glacors but wanted to make sure my gear selection is best for my levels.

 

Ahrim's Hood

Ahrim's Robe top

Ahrim's Robe bottom

Barrows gloves

Infinity boots

Arcane Stream Necklace

Seer's/Row

Soul Wars cape or Mage arena cape? - not sure what's better

Armadyl Staff - can't wield SoL and prefer not to spend time getting Chaotic staff, is Armadyl staff okay?

CSB - don't currently have it yet, but will get it before starting

Iron titan

Please point out any changes that should be made, I've bever killed these things yet, but am interested in the charms and effigies plus I wouldn't mind any boot drops :rolleyes:

Some say magic attack bonus doesn't make much of a difference, so you you might prefer to wear melee armor instead. But at the same time, defence isn't really necessary, seeing as you should be praying against the Glacor and the Glacytes are plenty accurate regardless. Its your preference really, if you notice more splashes, go for magic attack, if you think you need to conserve health, go with more defence.

 

-As for the cape, I suggest Soulwars, the prayer bonus is pretty useful for longer trips, but you could go halfway with Ardougne cloak 3/4's +6 magic and +6 prayer.

 

-Why not get your attack level up 1 for a SoL? Though, really the only advantage it has over ABS is the 12.5% saved runes, but I think the air rune saving of ABS would reduce the difference (not sure if the air rune saving works with CSB though). Fire surge runes are hella cheap either way you slice it.

 

-I think a seer's ring wouldn't be worth using up another inventory space for, so just forget about it and just keep your RoW on.

 

-I find a Full Slayer Helm better to use over Ahrim's hood due to its higher defences, but only 3 less magic attack. Also, you can charge it with combat familiar scrolls. I'm not sure if that works with iron titans, I don't have one myself. Once again, its up to preference.

You'll do fine, I think you can expect around 40-43 kills per hour. If you can level your summoning without a combat level I'm sure you could manage 45+ with steel titan.

But anyways, I don't want to level attack by 1 level because I'm a range tank and doing so would "ruin" my range tank, me leveling it would be similar to a level 1 defence pure getting 2 defence. So ABS would be an okay substitute right?

Judging by your DG level, I'd say you should try and get the chaotic staff. It's a better weapon if you aren't casting SoA and you wouldn't be out 30m cash or whatever for a ABS. Just my opinion, depends on your opinion on DG and how much time 30m is worth to you.

Why don't you use an Anceint Staff or a Master Wand? The ABS is basically an elemental staff, and is one of the lowest staves on the food chain bonus wise. Both of the AS and MW have good magic bonuses as well as a % damage increase.

Armadyl battlestaff is +15% magic damage, much better than master wand because you don't have to switch it as well.

 

Your setup sounds perfect Untimely, use a soul wars cape if you like long trips, and charging your helmet with scrolls won't do much as they always go off at the wrong time (costs money).
