October 16, 201114 yr I calculated that I'd actually get more money by mining coal than by mining gold. I'd just like to know if it's slower and by how much (if anyone actually tested it :P). Thanks in advance I guess. :)
October 16, 201114 yr Well with my mining suit I get about 66.5 xp per gold ore and 51 xp per coal ore. So I would say about 1/4th the xp slower. Mining here is much similar to woodcutting trees. I'm unsure what your goal is, but the faster it gets finished, the sooner you can focus on something else to make up that little difference, or continue mining. Also, I found the gold mining a lot more convenient than coal in the LRC when it came to location.

October 16, 201114 yr Gold is about 50% faster than coal, if not more. You just gain so much more ore that it's probably better money as well (@ lrc). If not mining at lrc, you should really really really consider mining granite and dropping it as everything else is terrible xp, but iron would be the best money + xp if you had to make money.
