October 18, 201114 yr I'm new to Corping with 6 man, I'm pretty used to it all and now I want to learn stunning so I can host. From what I understand I use Mithril Crossbow, Emerald Bolts (e) and I use Protection Prayer + Leech Mage + Leech Def instead of Protection Prayer + Turmoil. Is this right? Any other tips/tricks?
October 18, 201114 yr Yeah, that sounds right. Are you ranging or meleeing? If you are ranging, why not use rigour?
October 18, 201114 yr The only reasonable explanation I can come up with would be if mith bolt specs occured independently of whether the shot would have normally hit, like diamond bolts. This would mean that lowering your accuracy as much as possible would decrease the chance of a useless hit on the core that brings it closer to dying. Thus, rigour or a better crossbow would be counterproductive. Should test this.

I see far too many people actually swap to range void for stunning, are they just doing it wrong?
October 18, 201114 yr 75% sure that missing can still stun, hence why you want low accuracy.Anyone switching to range void is doing it wrong. Everything you said is correct as far as I'm aware. My only tip is to try to not miss chances to stun because you'll probably have nooby teammates that will run around frantically if the core goes near them.
October 18, 201114 yr Pro tip: Tell ur teammates to run after their first tank of the core. If you're quick you can hit the core, if successful, it will be stunned. If unsuccessful, the core will take no damage (and wont heal corp) and fly to your next team mate. A mith crossbow is used because it will either stun, or not, no matter if it misses. October 18, 201114 yr I guess the stunner has a small additional incentive to use zerker(i) over onyx(i) then :P . And I guess to use a fighter hat over a neit too.
October 18, 201114 yr virtus gives the same negative range attack as torva, which is what you should already be using :P.
