Leaf
Karil's cbow has speed 6 according to the KB (shortbow speed) compared to crossbows being speed 4. with 99, void, rigour, and ext pot: Karil's cbow can hit up to 348, a dps of 193.33 if perfect accuracy.Broad bolts can hit up to 479, a dps of 159.66 if perfect accuracy.Rune bolts can hit up to 522, a dps of 174 if perfect accuracy. So, it seems that Karil's should have the best dps if the target has low defence. What would the cut-off point be?Are there any high-level monsters that Karil's cbow is better for than a rune/chaotic cbow with broad/rune bolts? AHappySeeker
Cutoff is actually quite high. Not sure about the exact figure but it'll be easy to work out. Go go Grimy's sheets.
Quyneax
The accuracy bonus difference is pretty big due to being able to use void deflector with crossbows (ccbow is 68 higher accuracy bonus). On a slayer task, you don't use void, so Karil's crossbow is always better. I would use ccbow versus things like steel dragons at least, Karil's on bronze, not sure which on irons. Jadinko
I thought void range was better than slayer helm for range slaying? Miseryism | Completionist
Quyneax
I thought void range was better than slayer helm for range slaying? You hit higher, but you lose a lot of accuracy bonus. Consider, with void, your max accuracy bonus with handcannon is: glaiven boots, archer's ring (i), alerter (comp cape but not many people have that), ranger's amulet and handcannon for a total of 128.With full slayer helmet: add Armadyl plate+legs, barrows/swift/merc gloves: 56 bonus + 12/13/15 for gloves. If you were slaying with sagaie or or bane bolts, the difference would be much smaller due to void deflector: an extra 63 for chaotic crossbow, an extra 43 for sagaie (both with void). enfield
also if you are cannoning a task you really want the extra accuracy for your cannon. and if it's multi then you probably want a slay helm for scrolls. if you're not cannoning then you're probably in kuradal's dungeon, in which case dragon darts and arma is probably the best choice. Powerfrog
Isn't a god arrow 60 range strength? So wouldn't a mage shortbow with those be even higher DPS on low defense? Not to mention the bonus damage that i'm sure adds up.
enfield
It would be higher than karils ofc. Maybe higher than darts, but unlikely. but with god arrows you're paying around same per damage as you would be with SoA lol.
