Troll Bomber
If I have this correct (if not please correct me): *Using GE Values* 100 shards = 1 bstaff, which is crashing from what I've heard at 15.4M? 100 shards = 800 dust = x amount of runes depending on your rc level (same as air crafting rate) so 99 runecrafting makes 8,000 runes, at ~2.1k each? If so, that makes battlestaff-contributing-shards worth ~154k or less, and rune-contributing-shards worth ~168k ea. It would seem that runes are the obvious choice, but it sounds too good to be true. I've got 34 shards at the moment and am hurting for money. Theoretically speaking, would it be wiser to make runes instead of saving for a battlestaff? Also, it shows that dust, which you get 8 of per shard, is ~1.1k ea, making dust-contributing-shards worth ~8.8k each...? Unless I'm missing something, why would anyone sell dust that cheap? Again, please correct me if I've missed something.
JeRambo
Uh isn't dust 16k each? "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones.
Troll Bomber
Uh isn't dust 16k each?I went based off of this http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/Dust_of_armadyl/viewitem.ws?obj=21774 I didn't know if it had a street value that was way higher or not. JeRambo
Yeah it's got a way higher GE street price. Last I heard around 15-16k each. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. The_Fray
I would say it is better to make the runes as they are rising on the GE and will always remain in demand. I wonder if you can receive assist while crafting these runes, which would be a more preferable option. I would definitely look into it if I were you. Leaf
It's very situational. I would just wait until 100 shards, then decide what to do with them. Maybe the staff will cost more, when you actually have enough shards to make one. Since you won't be able to get 100 shards in a short time, you don't really have an option until you have more of them. Sell now or invest for later. Syd
As you are below 88 or 99 runecrafting, if I were you I would probably just sell the dust. They usually sell for ~19k instant. That is still over 150k per shard, and you don't have to collect all 100 to rake in the cashes. Especially, as you say you're short on cash.
L2Pullout
Don't do what I did and use pestle on mortor with over 100 shards in invent expecting to make all dust but it infact makes the orb :( -7m instantly. Why would jagex not have you use a chisel or something it doesn't even make sense to use a pestle and mortor to make the orb.

Still think it should be a right click option, but whatever at least I know for next time.
