DFS is a good item for people hunting wyverns for charms (with dreadnips maybe). You're crashed so often (or can crash others so often) that the strength bonus is much more valuable than the magic defense of other items for more loot in less time. And any other competitive boss (Such as a FFA event) where you can sacrifice defense for power. I don't i've ever seen one person killing wyverns off-task.
