January 15, 201214 yr This is my first post on this forum, hope i didn't post this in an incorrect section :) Requirement:1. Sufficiently large amount of chaos runes, air runes and earth runes ( Air / Earth runes can be substituted by a staff of corresponding element)2. Magic lv 39 For the spell "Crumble Undead"3. Access to the Stronghold of Security level 4 ( The one with a lot of undeads.) Recommended/Optional:1. Prayer lv above 43 (for "Protect from Melee") +Twisted bird skull necklace (Obtained from dungeoneering) (necklace used to restore prayer pts if necessary) Ref: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=10662 2. Ability to obtain food (eg.fish) in barbarian village (Fishing lv 20 or above, Cooking lv 15 or above) 3. Melee weapons/ armours for melee combat when necessary (Sry i don't know how to put a image on this post from my PC :( ) Description:Among the rooms in the lv 4 stronghold of security (SoS) , i found that the southern room has got a spotwhere i could stand there casting crumble undead without getting injured. It is at the south-east corner next to the gate. A pile of examine-able skeleton is used as the obstacle.Cast Crumble Undead there :) When compared to some med lv spells like fire bolts etc, crumble undead costs you less gp each spell, and it hits really hard on undeads. (Oh, a lot of undead in the lv4 SoS :) ) As exp only depends on how hard you hit regardless of which spell you cast,I think that killing undeads using "Crumble Undead" would be a great alternative to level up magic lv I hope this can help you guys :)
January 15, 201214 yr Hey I heard there was this great new skill called summoning! Anyways, I think you should have posted this on the AoW. Castle of Zoltar
January 15, 201214 yr I've moved this to General Guides as it's a guide for players to train magic. Welcome to Tip.it as well! :) Pyramid Plunder Guide Tip.it Forum Rules Adventurer's LogThanks to Cowboy14 for the awesome sig!
January 15, 201214 yr Alching sucks. It's the worst thing in the game. Idk why people keep suggesting it. It's only like 60k xp/hr but is by far the most boring thing ever.
January 15, 201214 yr Author Thx for helping me sort this post :) I know that high alch. is effective in leveling magic, and superheat mith bars even brings a slight profit (sometimes though)However, i think my suggested way could bring much fun to ya guys :) Anyway, thx for opinions& critics :)
January 15, 201214 yr I remember using crumble undead years ago for some training. It is certainly better than some of the other chaos rune spells out there. However, I think you should include several things in your guide to help people decide whether it's worth using it to train magic. Casts per hour:Cost per hour:Exp per hour: (differentiated by each skill)Kills per hour:Loot: (give the drop table, as well as expected values of drop per hour) If you include these, people can make good informed decisions about whether they want to do combat mage, or skilling magic based on the exp/h values of the skills they're interested in, and the costs associated with them.
January 15, 201214 yr note that dust runes (combined air and earth) are cheaper than each individual rune for whatever reason. And alching is indeed boring.
January 16, 201214 yr note that dust runes (combined air and earth) are cheaper than each individual rune for whatever reason. And alching is indeed boring.I think this was meant more for free players (especially as the OP is F2P). We don't have access to dust runes, but it's still a good suggestion. And yes, alching is very boring. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
