mlskid
Okay, so while I'm f2p and at uni I'm going to train so that I can get some more of the tasks done when i get p2p for summer. I need to know though, What would be the reccommended way to do this goal? Money shouldn't be too big of an issue, but I have around 1m to work with right now, and I can easily get more. What are some viable fast yet cheap ways to do it? Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]
The_Fray
Your best option is smelting/superheating gold. Either way Smithing is a big loss, 1mil will not get you anywhere if you want to use a faster method.
the_korny
Anything fast will not be cheap, especially in f2p. You can try to smelt bars, which will yield a profit, but be slow. Or you can try to find the item that gives the most xp/gp. Don't forget to look at Artisan's Workshop, but I don't believe that is any better than normal smithing. I've never seen Sixth Sense nor Inception nor many other popular movies and I intend to keep it that way.
Estonian dude
Probably not anymore, but my friend Zzzuperman got his 99 smithing and it cost him around 1gp/xp, iirc. OFC, it was before the bot nuke day and iron ore prices have skyrocketed since then. But the xp per hour was also ridiculously fast. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.I strike out every other week.Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.Randox pretty much stays rational.Etc, etc

jijilentosm
Smelting Steel or Admanatite bars, which ever is more profitable, then when you've gained enough cash, you can switch to making platebodies or something. It takes a good 15-25m depending on what you choose to do.
mlskid
Okay, should I do it at a bank by superheating? or should I just sort of afk it and do it by the edge furnace? Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]

Kaida23
The Edgeville furnace is not usable on free worlds. The closest furnace to a bank in F2P is in Al-Kharid. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
