And if not I can still enjoy being the only pker with full dragon running around with updated claws as well at 60 defence being maxed, lots of zerkers would have to consider going dragon pure but maxed ones might not, so I'll still be the only maxed dragon pure around the wild. :P Then I'll just use my maxed main to get some of the new capey.

 

Idk. I guess we'll have to wait and see how good this new cape looks, then decide if one day they could fit in an upgrade to the fire cape just as a graphical update.

Like I've explained the minigame is one of the first and has been out the longest. If there was no established method to doing it it is in fact a very challenging minigame.

 

And I'm willing to bet those level "30-40s" you're talking about have mains that are nearly maxed. Obviously meaning they know how to play the game therefore they were able to accomplish such a feat of beating the minigame which would mean there should be a deserving reward.

 

If Woox can kill the corporal beast without food or armor does it mean it shouldn't drop valuable items like sigils? And considering that, basically every predecessor shouldn't drop anything worthy either, based off your logic.

Highlanders used some rather broad generalization. Why don't you call him on that instead of failing to be clever by trying to sandbag the OP? Seriously. So many people on these boards read wiki for a few hours or take a single college rhetoric course and think they're the shit.

 

The fact is that NOT just any level 30-40 pure can get it; it takes plenty of preparation and knowledge. Also, we already know combat levels are hardly indicative of true combat ability; to start with, that's what a pure is.

Also, if you breeze through the caves in 45 min flat because you have OVL, Turm, maxed melees, Slayer task you have to consider the added difficulty of getting all those things in the first place. The difficulty is still there, it's simply moved. Fight Caves are only easy if you've done all of the hard work somewhere else.

 

I couldn't tell (nor did I care) who I was specifically replying to, since the OP was quoting someone in the post that I responded to. I wasn't "trying to be clever" or "sandbag" anyone. I was pointing out that the argument is flawed, regardless of whose it is, and that's all that was necessary to consider it irrelevant.

It's really pretty dickish to dismiss an entire post that had some valid points by linking to Wikipedia. Obviously you wouldn't agree; you're the one who did it in the first place.

Accusations of logical fallacy get thrown around way too much around here, by people who may or may not be applying them correctly. Frankly, it gets a bit tiresome to constantly see people who obviously know what someone is trying to say dismiss relevant arguments because they're not to form, because it's easier for them to do that than actually respond. All that said, I wasn't really upset with you as much as this general occurence happening far too frequently. I'm in a much better mood now, especially now that the entire Fire Cape subject has been cleared up. I actually have a great deal of respect for you, Muggi. I believe it was your Fight Caves guide I used to get my first Fire Cape many years ago. So, thanks.

 

The second part of my post was me responding to Highlanders in the way at the time I felt you should've, so that actually wasn't directed at you.

Since the new TzHaar city has been implemented by Jagex, there have been various new elements of lava graphics introduced into the game. I've made use of those textures and color pallets to create a concept fire cape from the concepts in the post.

 

I used Paint to construct this concept, no need for PhotoShop, lol!

Do a sketchup like the first one with the bottom end in the shape of the current Fire Cape and I'll be happy. :)

Fire cape looks great as it is.

Eventually the fire cape will be updated. Sorry but it's illogical to update ALL graphics except one piece of cape because of nostalgia purposes.

 

If you turn the floating cooled pieces black, that is how I pictured Tokhaar-Kal. And it would look a lot nicer than the current one.. Well, moreso the cracks being flowing lava like on a Fire cape, and black plates of obsidian or just cooled magma over that part. A basic overlay of plates on a Firecape, that's all. That's still awesome. And rounded-off edges sort of, kind of like how the Tokhaar is currently. I dislike the jaggedness of the parts in the above picture. But it is pretty damn close to what I want to see.

 

However, I think it's only going to be a cape redesign that follows a theme of the Tokhaars, and not just lava-ish crap. Really sucks.

 

Even then the Fire cape would look badass as that :). PLEASE CHANGE FIRE CAPE JAGEX, PLEEEEEEEEASE <3333333.

I don't like how every item in the game is beginning to induce seizures.

 

Firecape has always been one of my favorite item designs and i see no reason to "improve" it. Rhino cape on the other hand could definitely be improved, and it would make more sense for it to be fancier, as it has much better stats.

 

At the end of the day, i don't play the game for graphics, so as long as the new cape doesn't lag everyones computer in a 2 mile radius *cough* auras *cough*, i don't really care.

I'm not saying the fire cape should look exactly as I portrayed it. I just think it deserves some sprucing up.
