vleademir
My laptop doesn't have mousekeys. I was doing lava flow for the suit but after 74 I just want to get 76 as fast as possible, but is granite efficient at all without mousekeys? If not, what's the fastest alternative? ~Vleademir
Lord Paul
Do you mean that your laptop doesn't have a numpad? You could always use ahk if you want to drop mine. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

Lord Paul
Auto Hotkey allows you to remap your keyboard in addition to moving your mouse and a whole host of other things. I'm not very familiar with it.. I just use it to move the f-keys to my numpad, which is nice for dungeoneering. However, per Jagex rules, you must maintain a 1:1 input to output ratio, meaning that it is against the rules to click 1 button that will drop an item. As long you have 3 (right click, move down, left click) inputs to drop an item, then you can use any key combination you want. So you can have keys that make the cursor move up 10 pixils, but you can't have a key that maxes your cursor move to 'position X'. I don't know if you're looking for profit as well, but fastest mining with profit that I can think of is iron ore with banking in the resource dungeon in the dwarven mines. Not the best exp/h, but the extra ~300k gp/h is quite helpful to some people who don't do high income activities like boss hunting.
Kaida23
Just as an FYI, iron mining & banking will take ~7-8hrs to go from 74 to 76. From what I understand, that's almost twice as long as it would take mining granite. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. It's just "against the spirit of the game", aka, the rule is bullshit. But we must all comply. Anyway, go with granite. You'll be fine without ahk, but your wrist might not be. But we must all comply.I was under the impression that it was agaisnt the rules. I never use mousekeys so I don't know first hand, but I was sure I read that it was... I guess I was wrong. Then disregard my suggestion to do iron, granite would be best. I though it would be 1.5x faster max.

I guess I was wrong.Mousekeys are allowed, but technically AHK isn't because it can be adjusted too easily to make multiple outputs from one input. But I know lots of people who still use it (even though I don't) and as long as you stick to 1:1 then Jagex won't have any way of knowing. Hedgehog
I don't think Jagex can detect if it's 1:1. It's pretty much a morality issue.

How is AHK "technically" not allowed, anything that follows the 1:1 is allowed. AHK is no exception.

I looked back and found it was my poor remembrance of a query Tip.It sent to Jagex last year had me thinking AHK in generally wasn't allowed. In fact it was a portion of a specific script being discussed that wasn't allowed (check here if you're at all interested in the question and Jagex's reply). So yes, it appears 1:1 is always allowed regardless of what program is being used. Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero.
