After I do penguins and troll invasion today, I should have 82 Runecrafting for double Astrals. I was wondering how many ess I should expect to craft per hour, and what the best method/set up would be?

Teleport group moonclan because it puts you closer to the bank. It's up to you if you want to bank the astrals after each trip. Just wield an eee for healing.

After some practice, you should be getting 3.5k ess per hour, and if you are banking super fast, you should be able to approach 3.9k, which is pretty much the max. At the max, it's around 1.1m/hr.

 

I've done some racing there, and you'll realize that banking is the area that most people need to improve upon.

I'm pretty quick at banking, though I'm sure I could be better. Thanks for the advice.

Out of curiosity, do you guys use all the pouches? If not which ones do you use?

I've done a mixture of 2 & 4 pouching there. If I decided to go back, I'd go with 4.

It's a bit more laid back going with 2, so it's nice for that. And of course, 2 pouching is giant and large pouches.

I've always used 3 pouches when runecrfting, never thought it was worth the effort for 2 more essence when using the 4th(small) pouch.

Once you hit level 75 for the giant pouch, the xp/hr for astrals does not increase. It's around 34k xp/hr if you are 4 pouching very fast.

Did you use familiar as well?

No, I didn't use a familiar since it's a pain and only adds ~3k more xp/hr.
