correction/ additions - entier the kiln

Featured Replies

Hi, I am a lvl 81 magic 76, attack/defence 70 and barely meet the requirements for this quest. I have a few corrections and additions to this quest (and pictures to go with it)

Suggested:

-First in the suggestions for the quest it says suggest normal spell-book, I've gone threw the quest with ancient magiks spell-book, its not even needed for hatching the egg. Using blood burst I didn't have to use much food.

- even if you barely meet the requirements, and barely can wear barrows armor, you can beat this quest.

Unwanted:

-should be added that if you quikly kill Odischamp you can start working on the other TzHaar nearby untill one of them targets the Ga'al, not the one to the west since the human wearing full dragon armor is the one to win that fight.

-a good tactic for ranged/ magic attacks is to get the attention enemies attacking the Ga'al and kite them around untill the TzHaar are stuck on the pole in the middle and the humans will be stuck behind them untill you kill the rest of the TzHaar.

-When fighting the champion TzHaar-Ket-Yit'tal, since he only hits with melee, you can imediatly get him stuck on the other side of the pole in the middle and range/ magic attack him withuot getting hit at all.

-its also not noted that he occasionaly drains prayer.

Fighting your way in:

- the stack of tokkul is found in the second cave, not the 3rd

-need to be added the TokTz-xil-ul is for the Ga'al (the way its worded makes it sound like you keep it)

- when fighting the Yt-MejKot in the last cave, Ifound safe spotting crucial, and i had to do it imediatly, turn on protect from magic and once you enter imediatly run for the other side of the lava in the corner to get him stuck on the other side, deal with anyone that can hit you from there, then you can slowly creep on him to kill him. otherwise he can kill you in 2-3 hits

- when fighting TokTz-Ket-Dill (the rhino thing) i think only the pickaxe can hurt him, wasted like 50 shots on him

Into the Kiln:

-were it details the monsters each wave, should be added to the side how many high melee, low melee, magic, and ranged are in each fight. (helps)

wave 1: 1 ranged, 2 low melee

wave 2: 1 ranged, 1 mage, 1 high melee

wave 3: 1 ranged 1 mage

wave 4: 1 ranged, 1 mage, 2 low melee

wave 5: 1 ranged, 1 mage 1 strong melee, 1 weak melee

wave 6 1 ranged, 1 mage, 1 strong melee

wave 7: 1 ranged, 1 mage, 1 melee champion ( very high defence, attacks lower prayer)

Reward:

needs to be noted the TokKul-Zo is a ring that teleports you to TzHaar city, as well as it comes with 3000 charges to do 30% extra damage to any monster found in TzHaar area, questline, and minigames. Can be recharged by TzHaar-Mej-Jeh for 50,000 TokKul.

I have a few imigaes I think would be helpful for the quest guide, but dont know how to upload them :(

Your welcome hope my submission makes it into the guide :)

Tips and Tricks:

-add that if you die at any point within the Fight Pit or the Caves/ Kiln you do not lose your items, so you can think of this as a 'safe' quest.

Good feedback, I just finished the quest too.

I can confirm that the tokkul and the weapon is found in the second cave, not the third cave as the guide currently says.

If you die against Tzhaar-Mej-Ak at the plaza, you do not need to kill the humans and the Tzhaar again. I don't think that was mentioned (wasn't clear if it was).

Also, I don't see why the normal spellbook was suggested. I used lunar throughout the quest (for vengeance) and ancients at the last 7 waves (for blood spells).

When I did it, I found out that the Dil's couldn't be damaged by magic or ranged, and I just used a pickaxe (not sure if other melee weapons would work though).

Another thing, some of the quest guides suggest a certain prayer level and I feel this guide could do the same. Having protect from magic prayers would help a lot in a few cases, especially at the double 360's.

I'd agree with the thing about mage books, I did quest on lunar.

Normal mage book is not at all needed and nothing in the guide indicates WHY it is being recommended.

I could understand if you were suggesting to use SOA during combat parts, but you don't and arguably as tip.it guides aim to be an every man kinda guide the better recommendation would be polypore since it has less reqs and miles cheaper in which case spellbook doesn't matter.

It was probably recommended because the person(s) writing it was using normal spellbook, and noticed that during the quest you use normal fire/water spells and presumed you wouldn't be able to do this while on an alternate spellbook, but couldn't test as they'd already done it. Not sure that is what happened but it sounds likely to me.

because in the quest suggestions category, it says requests normal spell-book. As well I believe i mentioned my suggestion using blood burst to save on food. why use a polymore unless you need it?

You can upload them to an image hosting site like Imgur or imageshack and then copy the link to the image in your post or put it between sZub8.png

See I thought that at first, but it doesn't add up for what is actually in the guide.

For one thing if that was the logic why is it only suggested opposed to required?

And the part in question of the guide while reference fire and water spells doesn't actually say you need to be on normal spell book to do this (eg how Do no Evil specifically points out you need ancient mage for this part)

If that was the intent of it being there I think the writer must've been having an off day because it does literally appear to be a random suggestion plonked in for no reason due to is positioning and lack of referral.

Suggested:

I was on lunar myself, so it seems it allows for any spellbook. I have changed the guide accordingly.

This went a little differently my time around; the human in dragon went for ga'al after I killed Odischamp, so I've reworded the text somewhat to accommodate for other scenarios.

-When fighting the champion TzHaar-Ket-Yit'tal, since he only hits with melee, you can imediatly get him stuck on the other side of the pole in the middle and range/ magic attack him withuot getting hit at all.

-its also not noted that he occasionaly drains prayer.

I was unable to confirm the first point, but another Crewbie should look into that shortly. Added the note about the prayer draining and credited you on the bestiary entry as well.

Fighting your way in:

- the stack of tokkul is found in the second cave, not the 3rd

-need to be added the TokTz-xil-ul is for the Ga'al (the way its worded makes it sound like you keep it)

Indeed. Corrected this, though was unable to confirm the safe spot.

Fighting your way in:

- when fighting TokTz-Ket-Dill (the rhino thing) i think only the pickaxe can hurt him, wasted like 50 shots on him

You need to crack the armour before your attacks will have use on the creature. Any attack appears to work after the armour is cracked.

Finally, I've clarified the waves, added a link to the items entry for the TokKul-Zo, and credited you.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the help! :)

I was able to confirm this and it will be added to the quest guide shortly. Thanks :)
