February 20, 201214 yr I recommend ranging for fire cape but that is just me. Never tried with magic. At least 80 range, wait a little longer.
February 20, 201214 yr Mage works well. You will take a bit of damage from the 90s and the healers but it should go by pretty fast. Just don't screw up prayer switching on jad and you should be fine.

The actual caves will be a piece of cake even with your defense level, you will just have to to kill the 90s off fast as they do quite a bit of damage. The healers will be a big problem though as its not as easy as it used to be since you now have to lure them away from Jad or they continue to heal him while attacking you.
February 20, 201214 yr Assuming you know the basic mechanics of the caves, it should be a piece of cake these days with the updated arena layout. An arcane stream necklace would make things easier, as far as setup goes. Mage was really inaccurate when I got my fire cape at 1 defense, but I was only lvl 70 magic or so, and vestments hadn't even been been released yet. I'd expect polypore to be much better than burst spells.
February 21, 201214 yr You can cut the amount of restores down quite a bit and replace them for brews and that should make some of the harder waves very easy. The key to 1 def the southwest corner safespot. It has some type of pillar that blocks basically all the monsters unless they spawn right next to you, I used this safespot for every wave after I discovered it and it made it veerry easy with 1 def. February 21, 201214 yr Definitely consider bringing blood burst and arcane stream necklace. I'm guessing 1-1.5 hours tops, depends on how much you have to lure the 90s. You can't attack them while luring because of your short range with polypore. If that happens again, just run to the northwest corner and kill the 360 while the 90 and 180 remain trapped in the southwest corner
