Azeitona
I hve wi-fi connection at home, and i wanna know if it is against runescape rules my friend log on his account using another computer here, because i believe its has the same IP as my account, so it can be considered multiple log in? or something like tht? He gnna help me to get duel arena kills, for duelist cap, since i cant find many people to duel.... Well my fear is they think im using both accounts, since we gnna play at same house, but of course it would be pointless play both accounts by my self, computers are not close here, i would lost lot of weight running arround my house for tht haha, so wht u guys think, there is risk for our accounts? Thanks for help ^^
tripsis
As long as you're both using different computers and your own/different accounts, you are fully welcome to log in from the same location; it is not against the rules :) It's seems to be pretty rare that Jagex bans for multi-logging at all since it's so hard to prove. They'd probably only ban for it if there was IP evidence and the person admitted it somewhere in-game. (not saying you should actually multi-log, just that the odds of you getting banned for suspected multi-logging are slim!) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
Kaur
It's only against the rules if you control both accounts. But then again, they can't prove anything therefore they can't do anything.I have never heard of anyone getting banned for that rule. Arceus
They would also probably "know" it was an account belonging to someone else since IP logs would show your friend using a completely different IP other times. Hot Nana
you posted this on rsof too lol yeah you got your answer, but the computers will have different IPs so youre fine @below I'm not talking about internet IP, of course they'll have the same IP on the same network. Jagex can tell two computers apart read my statement correctly before trying to chew me out
Riptide Mage
you posted this on rsof too lol yeah you got your answer, but the computers will have different IPs so youre fine Two computers on the same internet connection both have the same WAN IP, don't post things that are blatantly incorrect. You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.
Lukeaxx
People are very rarely banned for multi-logging due to IP addresses, as Jagex fully understands that multiple accounts may play on the same network. The only time people are ever given a discplinary mark (there is very rarely a ban for multi-logging) is if they are in control of both accounts, the accounts are interacting with each other and the player themselves admit it in chat (which is then reported and the snapshot is sent of them admitting doing the above) Having a friend play with you on the same network is perfectly safe, and I have done it several times over the years. Fat_Slug
In the past when my whole family played RS there would be 5 of us all playing at the same time.Sometime we would do stuff together and interact, other times solo.Only I play still now, but none of us have been banned for that Runescape nick : Fat_SlugOwner of Ears, Scythe and a 10 year veteran cape :D

You have nothing to worry about (and even then, Jagex would need more proof) unless you are doing something really stupid like acting you are in control of both accounts by having one not do anything while the other is moving and vice versa. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
