Shady Character
I finally got myself a uni and was interested in killing some glacors to make some moolah for pray lvls. snce im a noob at MHing i turn to the experts here to hopefully recieve some helpful advice. what i have available: as stated i have uni for healing as well as eee. no SS full elite void no deflector. can get ahrims or gano if need be.fury. row. inf boots. barrows gloves. ardycape 3/god cloak/firecape. no dung items. whip vine / poly / SoL. (might use SOA if i start making good money here) i can boost to extreme mages or just use vecna skull. *stats in sig ive read the guide on tip.it and it said for my lvl i should be meeleing the glacytes. I did a few test kills with void switching but was taking a considerable amount of damage and it seemed to take a while. this made me think if i should sacrifice atk bonuses to beef up some defence by using gano or ahrims and if i should poly instead of meele. then the question arises which cape should i use or switch or whatever. if ive forgotten something vital or important feel free to enlighten me. basically any advice is greatly appriecated! Hot Nana
I just use the better setup on the tipit guide, but if you seem to be taking damage from glactytes I recommend separating them from the glacors. Lure the glacor so that he can't attack you, then you should easily be able to kill the glactytes. If you are still taking too much damage from them, use protect from melee. Also make sure that the enduring glactyte is far away from the glacor or you won't hit.
Ermy
[set=aura:,head:6698,cape:11369,neck:9897,quiver:id,weapon:9753,body:2006,shield:10680,legs:4616,gloves:4675,boots:7070,ring:11072] This is my set up for glacors, I have a rapier in my inventory but you can swap these items:-Celestial staff = staff of light-Arcane = fury-Surgebox = defender/shield-Max cape = Fire cape-Rapier = whip or poly My set up has a lot of melee defence so you may need to swap out further items to get an increase in mage attack. Those with a little bit of knowledge are more dangerous than those with none.

Not trying to hijack a thread or anything, but glacors have been an interest, but just haven't been able to get a handle on them. Contractor
I use ahrims but it's really up to you. I really see no difference between armor sets like ganodermic, ahrims, void etc as long as you can stay alive. The strategies and kills are still practically the same. If you're having trouble with the glacyte damaging you then change your gear towards a little more melee defense.

Gwasha
[set=aura:,head:6698,cape:11369,neck:9897,quiver:id,weapon:9753,body:2006,shield:10680,legs:4616,gloves:4675,boots:7070,ring:11072] Snip Do you still prayer switch much with that setup? Not trying to hijack a thread or anything, but glacors have been an interest, but just haven't been able to get a handle on them. You will always prayer switch at glacors. Always. Doesn't matter the setup. For a shield use anything that gives magic attack bonuses. When you get good at glacors, the damage from the acutal glacor should be minimal and the glactyes are easy enough. Safespot if you need to. An arcane would work but that's really overkill, your book should be fine. While glacors are most effective with dg items, as you can see they aren't necessary. I would advise to try to get some in your free time. I would have no idea what to get first though, likely a rapier for glacytes, but then again without overloads...
